Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Jeremiah 31: 15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. 16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. 17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.
It just occured to me that Elian Gonzales was forceably taken by the Feds in 2000 - the day before Easter.
I guess to me.."the prize" is eternal life with Jesus Christ.. not saving a country.. the Bible speaks of trials and tribulations..I believe it's already started.. abortion, persecution of Christians and Jews, now this...murder on demand.. this thing is bigger than America..
I heard Judge Roy Moore telling this to Sean Hannity. I was very happy because that was one less thing *I'd* have to tell him (not that I'd ever get the chance). LOL!
The way that the good Judge laid it all out is exactly as it is. He did a magnificent job of it. I love that man.
God bless the Schindlers.
They're are truly super parents.
and Happy Easter to all.
Well, I was out working in the garden on Tuesday. Have had a bath since then, though.
Yes, we have to keep moving on and fighting the good fight, despite the falls.
thanks for the heads up
That's not a bad thing, though. It may be the good that comes out of this. I hope the Bushes and Republicans DO use it to bring balance back to our very out of whack system.
I hope y'all will forgive me for not being able to pray with you tonight. I feel like my current state of mine more or less precludes it, for now.
I don't need to rehash what's happened to the country. Everybody here knows.
I'm on night owl duty, so I'll just stand vigil with you here on the darkest night - maybe saying something from time to time - until it's time for sunrise service. There will be thunderstorms then. I'm going anyway. Thunderstorms and tornado watches all day long on Easter Sunday, starting about dawn they say. It could not be more appropriate.
Another dark day in our history...
we understand... you do what you need to do... we'll be here.. this little family of ours..
Don't know. I can't get him tonight. Too much lightning.
Glad you got that bath, Lakey. I been hauling bricks for our garden all afternoon too. Gotta bathe between now and church or they'll make me sit outside!
"Hubby remarked last night that he believes the Bushies are going to use this case to argue for a return to the balance of powers... take some of the wind out of judical. He said Terri is just their "sacrificial lamb."
I wouldn't put it past them. I guess that contributes to my feeling of anguish tonight."
Only thing is, if the Bushes had some guts, we WOULD have more of a balance of power.
The Right to Life

The "auxiliary precautions" of Florida government in this case the Florida supreme court have failed Terri Schiavo. It is time, therefore, for Governor Bush to execute the law and protect her rights, and, in turn, he should take responsibility for his actions. Using the state police powers, Governor Bush can order the feeding tube reinserted. His defense will be that he and a majority of the Florida legislature believe the Florida Constitution requires nothing less... "

DON'T CALL THIS EUTHANASIA! Euthanasia is 'suppose' to be a mericiful killing. This is just plain murder.
We're also told to endure to the end. One frequent interpretation is that we're to resist the forces of evil any way we can, as long as it is physically possible. Just 'cuz I'm sad tonight doesn't mean I'm gonna roll over, or bend over, or whatever.
Goodnight. Happy Easter!
How appropriate - storms.
Yikes. I keep this bookmarked to keep an eye on me mum's weather.
