Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

You would think that Barney Frank of all the congresscritters would understand why the family would be so upset about Terri's CIVIL rights being trampled on... Why do I think that if she were GAY, he might have a different opinion---can you say, "hate crime"?

I'm sure there is, or will soon be a case of a dying homosexual, whose family and domestic partner disagree on medical care. Suddenly Barney will want the feds to step in to 'protect the rights of the homosexual partner.' hmmm

The only CNN program that I watch is "Capital Gang" on Saturday at 7 EST. The first feature was on Terri. Even the "prolife" Mark Shields wants her dead: he actually said we cannot pay for her medical care for so many years, her and others similarly situated. Liberal Margaret Carlson, who has a handicapped brother, unsurprisingly therefore, said that MRS should have long ago surrendered custody to the parents.

A news clip showed the bewildered Jeb Bush in a huffy demeanor, defending HIMSELF from those who "misunderstand" the limited powers of the FL governorship. He looked mean, and I had never seem him appear dispirited on TV before. I think he will have to stick to inspecting hurricane damage henceforth: he has forfeited his ability to "lead," whatever that might mean in FL these days. He has been a real disappointment in this horror. I don't know if he understands the depth of scandal in this murder.
