TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

Terri is going to die than and no one is going to stop it. Sorry, but if I was Terri's parents at this point I'd be doing something illegal, but they are so nice they will just sit back and hold their daughters hands and pray for mercy. That is what we all will do and should do!

That is why so many Jews stepped into the cattle cars to be taken to the concentration camps and gas chambers.

Hello,

I don't have an answer to your question, I would imagine that they really believed in this country, and that this horrific act would not actually happen. I bet many people in other lands allowed things to go too far because of the same beliefs.

Glad to be here, God Bless Us All, MOgirl

Do you know that old song--"I fought the law, and the law won!"---

I believe that this whole episode has shown that just because there IS a law does not mean it is JUST: therefore, I couldn't ever promise I wouln't break a law...not if it meant life or death of a loved one, or even a stranger if the situation called for it...

My husband said the exact same thing. I can understand how one would feel that way. On the other hand, there is no possible way to get her out of there with all those cops. It would just be a symbolic gesture at this point. Then Terri would die with her murderer salivating over her while her family sat in jail.

That is why we often hear of shootings in the courthouse. People do not believe that they will get justice so they take the law into their own hands. Had it been my daughter, I would have killed MS when Greer refused to change the guardianship. Better a dead guardian than a murderous one.

"I can't help but to feel bad for Terri, her father told her that President Bush signed a bill that was going to save her. Geez.....she is still waiting."

GWB is who I really blame, more than Jeb. HE is the one that professes his Christianity and then watches as a helpless woman starves to death and especially during the Easter holiday...all I can think is that all this HAD to happen as God has some great plan in mind that we may know soon or maybe not until His return..I know one thing, it has taught us all a lesson and illustrates perfectly what the bible says about not trusting man and things of this world. I just can't wait to see what GWB says to the nation after Terri has either passed on to be with the Lord or miraculously healed by HIM tomorrow morning.

Just read this:

"Bush and the state have two appeals pending in their fight to support the Schindlers. But the challenges are before the state 2nd District Court of Appeal, which has rebuffed previous efforts by Bush in the case."

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050326/D892V1Q00.html

I didn't realize there was still something out there. Not that it adds much hope, but it tells me Jeb is still fighting for Terri.

I truly don't think we're giving him enough credit, and it troubles me that so much energy and anger is being directed at him rather at the true perpetrators in this case. If we focus on the wrong person, true justice will never be served.

The truly guilty parties, Schiavo/Felos/Greer/Soros are barely granted a footnote in this ghastly episode.

If you recall they attempted, and failed, to carry this out in 2003........just before the 2004 election season was in full swing. Guess they settled for getting JEB.

I agree with your post .. except for the part about Jeb being the target

What they are doing is not about Jeb, nor his brother

IMO .. It's about legalizing euthanasia

Also IMO, I don't think Felos expected this kind of fight from Terri's parents

I found this at another site - don't know if it has been posted here but found it interesting:

JUDGE SET UP ELABORATE SECURITY AND COP BRAGGED THEY KEPT PRESIDENT, GOVERNOR OUT [The following report comes from Jackie Doucette, a close friend of the Schindlers who has fought by their sides for years]:

Yesterday during the hospice vigil, I recognized three undercover sheriff's deputies in plain clothes spying on Terri supporters. They work for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office as deputies.

I told him that it was obvious that he was spying on the protestors. My friends and I asked him why there were so many special police units, a swat team, K-9 units, and undercover cops swarming around hospice. His face became red and he said he didn't know what we were talking about. He stammered and told us that he was only there to learn and to watch. I told him he was an undercover deputy and was there to spy on us.

I watched him spy on Monsignor Thaddeus Malanowski as he was giving an interview with a local TV station. Randy stood next to the monsignor trying to hear the conversation. I told Randy that I knew what he was doing.

Several weeks ago during a court hearing, Judge George Greer told an attorney for Michael Schiavo, Deborah Bushnell, that he made arrangements for hospice to be covered with police from the Pinellas Park Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Greer bragged during the hearing that the Sheriff's Office had installed high-tech surveillance equipment and monitoring devices to keep an eye on the demonstrators. Greer boasted that he was able to get all the special police units to guard hospice. Judge Greer is a close friend with former Pinellas County Sheriff Everett Rice (now a Florida House Representative who recently voted against the Terri bill) and the current sheriff, James Coats.

Yesterday, a police officer from the Pinellas Park Police Department told us that they were proud to be able to block President Bush and Governor Jeb Bush from taking Terri into protective custody.

Several days ago, Monsignor Thaddeus Malanowski wanted to place a drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus on Terri's tongue. The police officer standing guard in Terri's room threatened to arrest the monsignor if he attempts to place anything in Terri's mouth. Monsignor told me of this incident after the Holy Thursday Mass. He's a very holy and humble man. He's ministered to Terri for over four years.

Think of this too, when Terri sees her family, she is hearing them saying they are trying to save her, when Michael is there I am sure she is knowing that HE is the one finishing the job he started the night he tried to kill her. How awful for Terri!

Did you know that when Michael was trying to date people he would bring women to the hospice to PROVE to them that his wife was there brain damaged. One of Terri's nurses said this. THat is disgusting and mean and so sick.

Well, 6 of the 7 Republicans on the appeals court in Atlanta voted for MRS.

The congress should disband the appeals court. Congress established it, they can disband it. Is it Article 3 of the U.S. Constitution?

"...there are three sides to this: the ones who want and cheer for her death, the ones who oppose it firmly and... the ones who are aiming for the middle and "safe" ground or are in hiding on the issue, the ones whom I believe God despises more than those cheering for her death. "

The ones who want and cheer for her death...just like those that did that when Jesus was crucified.

Yep, right here: U.S. Constitution Article 3

The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.

Lanny Davis on CNN in live interview -- WOW. Pointing out the discrepancy in the liberal point of view, in fighting to the bitter end for a death row inmate, but not for Terri. Before this, clearly stated problems w/Michael Schiavo for not coming out for YEARS w/Terri's wishes, wants to know why MS is so angry that he won't even let Terri have communion. He is clear and unequivocal in his support for LIFE for Terri, that her parents should be caring for her.

In this fight we have seen some Freepers act like the worst scum on DU.. we have seen atheists and Democrats rise up to the challenge of preserving life.. we have seen "christians" call out for an innocent woman's death.. and we have seen who are politicians and who are human beings.. all my illusions have tumbled this week.. the hardest has been watching people of my own political party, people supposedly of my own faith, serve themselves first, cover their collective arses with empty words.. bow down to evil incarnate.. I will never be the same.. I too am leaving the party.. I don't think I'll join another one.. or bother voting.. if we end up with the same crap in the end.. one just gets there slower than the other..

Greer is legally blind..Doesn't that make him disabled ???? Somebody should start hiding his food so he can't eat

Hey, that's good! "It's HIS OWN fault if he can't feed himself." Isn't that what the trolls keep telling us about Terri?
