Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
What's so wrong with everybody? Why would anybody think Terri wanted DEATH?
I have never advocated Terri wanted death...I think quite the opposite..Terri has always shown a very strong will to live and I wish we could all be rejoicing that she had her feeding tube reconnected and they were performing multiple tests on her plus rehab
My kitty just gave me a valuable reminder:
I keep a packet of treats near the computer for when she visits me upstairs. She just appeared, rubbing my leg and very vocally yoweling. I kept typing and she finally got quiet. When I finally turned around with the packet, she was sitting there expectantly by her bowl. Just quietly sitting there looking at it, confident that at some point the treats would appear.
We need to remember that the Lord hears us and then wait quietly for his answer. It's good to petition loudly, but we must then be quiet to hear. (That is VERY hard for me to do!)

The family is asking everyone to go home and be with their families and to hug their children and hold them tight
No, I don't mean you...I mean, so many people in AmeriKa, and the judges, the media, etc. How could anybody think Terri wants Death when everyone is instinctively born to want to live?

Just saw a remarkable press conference--a Catholic priest came out and said that the Schindler family will not be giving any more interviews---
then he went on to challenge Governor Bush to take Terri into protective custody, saying that by denying her communion, they were denying her freedom of religion---
heartwrencing stuff....

well i myself am not too comfortable with what is going on either for my sake since I just had a 65th birthday and hubby is 68..We both got dissability about 10 years ago for severe back problems...I am sure now I am in the database to not give too much care to

That's almost exactly what we were discussing before dinner. The natural instict is to live. We fight to live, just as Terri is fighting now. The fact that Terri is still alive and fighting should be proof of her will to live, much less proof that she is not terminally ill and in the 'natural process of death'. They want everyone to believe that the natural state is death.
I can think of one being whose business is to snuff out that which God has given us.
The women on CNN brings up those stupid dang polls
There are 2 poll questions I want to see them ask the public
1. Do you believe in starving a person to death
2. Do you believe in euthanasia
Michael has announced plans to have Terri's body cremated immediately upon her death. The Medical Examiner has the authority to order an autopsy if foul play is suspected. If he waits until after her body has been cremated, it will obviously be too late. Contact him now.

Just make GOOD and sure that you and your husband have a good living will. I just had mine done, and now looking at it, I want to rephrase it again. And make sure people you can really TRUST are down as your potential caregivers.
I added a small addendum to my will, asking that if I'm ever in a coma that someone read to me or play my favorite Gene Kelly films, at least once a week. I know that may sound silly, but I have heard so many people who came out of comas say they were awake and aware, but couldn't communicate.

we all are, I think; and I can't imagine the Schindlers' terrible pain and anguish. Nor do I ever want to experience that kind of pain and anguish. God bless them.
