Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

We have NO MORAL AUTHORITY in proclaim to the world in forums, summit meetings, State Department Annual Reports on Human Rights, lectures by Bush and Rice and Rumsfeld, about the "SPREADING THE AMERICAN SENSE OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY AROUND THE GLOBE". No more. FLORIDA under Governor Greer is an "outpost of evil", when you think about it. Just look at us domestically. We will be international hypocrites. From the day she dies (if not already due to the physical cruelty we are visiting upon here that wouldn't be be sanctioned on a pet rabbit.)

I realize you aren't defending Greer or are you, but Michael Schiavo violated over 353 guardianship laws and Greer let him. Greer kept out the evidence from Terri's parents. Greer stated "the law of the case is that she will die."

Very true. God said, and I can't remember the Scriptures right now, but to those who have much, much more is expected. And those who have access to know His truth and but choose to rebel and do wrong, their standard for judgment and punishment will be much more severe, and those who are leaders are held more accountable for their sins.

Judicial reforms for FL.

ALL merrit retention talk is DEAD. FL county and circuit court judges MUST face the voters every six years.

This non-partisan BS must end. It is a joke, judges are OBVIOUSLY partisan.

Judicial Term Limits. Judges in FL have mandatory retirement at 70. (No more senior judges taking cases after retirement either)

Conservatives have to find AND have support from non-lawyers. In many of FL's counties judges face little or no opposioin because opposing a sitting judge is career suicide.
