Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
There are other threads on FR where people are discussing this.
The people here are in support of Terri and her family.
Try finding another thread and give the people here some respect for their feelings.
Thank you, valleygal ... we so need those words ...
Bring your judgement upon us Lord. Bring it quick.
As bleary eyed as I am, taking a look at the court's ruling, it looks like again, no de novo ruling. Everything was based on past actions to guard Greer.
Amen
I was actually pretty proud of Congress...and all those dems who crossed over to vote FOR Terri as well!
My apologies if you have read my piece elsewhere. I fixed the URLs. Everyone, please look carefully at the earthlink timeline, as Schiavo is near the bottom; also, this long piece is worth the read partially because Soros is involved.
There is a terrible logic to this situation. From what I have read, Schiavo is a test case of the Right to die movement (DIE) "to establish a legal precedent to end the lives of the disabled using hearsay evidence" ( http://www.lifenews.com/bio186.html ). Also, with the looming crisis in Social Security and the national health care debate, those cases of catastophic costs for certain people, e.g., the disabled, infirm, aged, handicapped, schizophrenic or otherwise mentally diseased, those who need transplants, etc., become targets of a synthesis of carrying capacity meets implementation of Marx's theory of abstract labor and the costs of care.
DIE has moved to redefine American consciousness according to a strategy enacted in three stages: "Professional Education, Institutional Change, and Public Engagement." ( http://home.earthlink.net/~joyinlife/ ) As part of this strategy, the religious element is problematic, and so, must be diffused with 'dignity therapy.' "Spirituality is consistently defined as a critical domain in end-of-life care; research on interventions to improve spiritual well-being is very limited. Preliminary evidence of a specific interventiondignity therapyshows positive outcomes for both the patient and family." In Terri Schiavo's case, the guardian's legal representation comes from DIE, as do the Schiavo doctors. Clearly, as she has been in a hospice for years, this having been petitioned since 1997, although she is not terminally ill Terri has been marked for death for some time. ( http://www.thedavidallenshow.com/topics/terrishiavo/20050228.somethingsfishy/20050228.lawschange )
That being said, in Florida, in 1999, food and water (hydration) was added to language of the law that defined artificial means. ( http://www.thedavidallenshow.com/topics/terrishiavo/20050228.somethingsfishy/20050228.lawschange ) DIE advocates using a combination of dehydration and morphine to promote death. ( http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=21770 ) This has cleared the way for other, more chilling recommendations to be made by 'experts.' Witness: In Florida's Interim report from the Panel for the Study on End of Life Care (1999), among the findings is the "Recommend(ation) that the Florida Legislature remove from F.S. 765 the requirement that a person be
terminally ill before life-prolonging procedures can be withheld or withdrawn. [1 dissenting vote]" ( http://www.thedavidallenshow.com/topics/terrishiavo/20050228.somethingsfishy/20050228.lawschange )
From the same website: "Research indicates that the cost of hospice care in Florida results in an overall savings of Medicare dollars; a Lewin study reports that Medicare saves $.52 for every dollar spent on hospice care." It really is all about the money. Welcome to the Gulag and the USSA.
JZelle wrote: Why has the National Organization of Women been so quiet on this. I checked their website and there's no mention of her at all. Not surprised, just curious."""
You asked about the women's groups..
The National Organization of Women is a phony group, who DOES NOT CARE ABOUT WOMEN.
THE AARP DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE SENIORS.
THE ACLU DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ** THE RIGHT TO LIVE **.
Thank you, valleygal. God's Word is Truth!!!!!!!
Christ's words teach us that there are Spirit-filled people, and those that aren't. And we are not to be fooled by the smooth words of those that love death and hate God.
God Bless Your People!!!!!!!!!!
Did he get nuked?
I understand the TX kids who were arrested trying to take Terri water are homeschooled. Fox just had them on.
Modeling is just a hobby for her. THERE WILL BE A FUNDRAISER CALLED "Walk for the World" and there is a WORLD FOOD BANK.
They used their niece today to convince the sheeple that we have ARE MUCH BETTER OFF than people around the world. Matt should have asked Lauren ABOUT TERRI SCHIAVO. TERRI'S NOT BETTER OFF THAN PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD. DOES THIS FAMILY HAVE NO SHAME?????
Bush lovers, I admire your worship of them. Good for you! TERRI SCHIAVO IS BEING STARVED TO DEATH RIGHT NOW AND THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN THE FREE WORLD AND A GOVERNOR OF LARGE STATE ARE NOW CHANGING THE SUBJECT while Terri and her family is suffering.
FYI: People are now coming to town to try to rescue Terri and getting arrested. They are great Americans imo but of course they are being portrayed as gun nuts.
WHO SHOULD BE ARRESTED? JUDGE GREER BUT HE MUST HAVE SOMETHING ON JEB, THAT'S ALL I CAN FIGURE. The judges in this country have overthrown the government and it's GOOD FRIDAY. The Bushes are GLOBALISTS.
Wait until Al Jazeera starts plastering Terri's picture all over the world. Condi Rice and Karen Hughes are going to have their hands full on their REPAIR AMERICA'S IMAGE TOURS. Al Jazeera and the terrorists will use the images from Florida. Good luck, Condi.
While I told this person he is a troll and disruptor, I did not press the abuse button. No need, these people get themselves banned for things they say and the way they say them.
THIS IS MURDER--MAY JESUS GET HIS REVENGE!
There are other Terri's already. Her case has finally brought them to light.
I throw no stones at people who have family who have ASKED them to do this. I just know I could never do it.
That does not surprise me. When I looked at the pictures, I somehow knew it.
That is not fair. I believe President Bush and Gov. Jeb have done much much more than anyone else would have. Let us not give in to these destructive words and ask God for a miracle and for mercy.
Which lawsuit?
Bless you, op. Nite.
THIS IS MURDER--MAY JESUS GET HIS REVENGE!
Ditto. I'm glad we're on THIS side right now.
