Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Schindler's List
Do you realize just how ironic that name is? That, and Schiavo/slave? Or that Terri is named for Sta. Teresa de Avila, who suffered terribly from illness, and was mystical, and whose city is surrounded by walls?
Amen to your prayer, Saundra.
The local cops would stand down. Still, it is a dangerous situation and nobody wants still more people to get hurt and maybe go on life support.
I pray the conscience of even ONE of them would be pricked. Even more, I pray the hearts of all of them would be softened and they would have compassion on the family of a dying woman. Reports are that they have behaved in a hostile and abominable manner toward the Schindlers and the Terri supporters outside the hospice.
Good job as usual. It's so encouraging to see that people are still plugging away on Terri's behalf. Miraculous, really. Go, girls!!!!!!!
STOP IT! Jeb has done a tremendous amount to prevent this evil from taking place. Let's keep the blame exactly where it belongs: an evil husband, an evil lawyer (Felos), evil judges, evil democrats who would not support a strong bill to prevent this, and last but not least, the useful idiots ('respected member' since 1998) who give them moral and politcal cover and support!
I just get tired of the simplistic solution of "it's Jeb's fault". If that makes everyone feel better fine...but I don't buy into it.

Me too!!! An innocent disabled woman is being tortured by Starvation. I can't believe this country has no laws to stop this.
Also can't believe how hard the family has fought and no one can stop one stinking Republican Judge. It's disgusting and makes no sense.
Well, it speweth.
"Oh yes, don't investigate USF too closely. There's an upcoming conference on hospice care in April. It'll be big."
While looking up the Florida Suncoast Hospice, I came across the info that one of their board teaches at USF - teaching Death and Dying. It might have been Labyak, but I don't recall exactly.
That's a hell of a couse... literally.
Gibbs on speaker phone on Fox.....talking about Terri speaking....
You are not off the mark, and not alone..it makes some people better able to handle all this if they tell themselves the Bushes could do nothing, that they are good men at heart.. but we don't NEED to handle this well.. we need to get angry and stop worrying about an illegal and unconstitutional law, especially when a county probate judge legislates and enforces from the bench which in and of itself is illegal
Think on this:
What Rosa Parks did was illegal
What the Nazis did was perfectly legal
I know it's hard to hear.....
But it's important to face.
And to ask the questions....
So Jeb Bush is just going to let Terri die from thirst and starvation. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. And on Good Friday, too.
I think the goofy stunt this morning - like he was REALLY going to rescue Terri - was just that - a stunt - to make us think he tried.
Barf.
Labyak. You know Labyak, yes? You know the CEO of Sun Coast (or is it Woodside?) I have posted comments elsewhere about this woman's wrongdoing. She is part of it.
Of course He will understand, for we have prayed for what is right.
The American revolution was anarchy...
What Rosa Parks and others did was anarchy...
What Hitler did was perfectly legal
Do you want to be a good citizen in this case, or obey God's laws? Because in this case you cannot do both! Neither can Jeb.
ABRAMS is almost freaking out. I think he knows this isn't right, but refuses to admit it.
What on earth is wrong with these people? Who or what are they defending? I sent him and email too.
