Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

I'm finding myself reminded of Terri every few minutes in a rather unusual way. Every winter my lips chap. Every one but this one. I've been using some good lip balm and so it's not been so bad. But 3 days ago, my lower lip felt chapped. Nothing helps. Yesterday, it split. As though I'm parched.

I've one tiny little split in my lip and it's bugging me to death -- burning and stinging. I wonder how my poor sister Terri's lips feel.

Since learning of the Starvation/Dyhdration Death of Lisa McPherson in Clearwater, Florida. You have to wonder if it is them.

Lisa McPherson was trying to escape the Scientologist and they held her prisoner. People have posted her autopsy photo and articles about Lisa's death. It sounded really far out. But now, considering all the horrible things happening in the Clearwater area to Terri, it sounds very possible to me.

Btw, I read on one of these boards that Greta of Fox News is also a Scientologist. That explains her reluctance to actually get into the case on her show. She never seems to address the legal issues.

I hope Gibbs or someone will protect those who have come forward at the DCF. They might be in danger too. I hope Gov Bush will protect them, at least.

It's also understandable why others haven't come forward, due to Michael Schiavo and his brother's threats. Are those two creeps Scientologists too? What a den of slime and evil from hell.

Let no one come near her who would hasten her death, for her family is still seeking justice through the courts. Please pronounce Terri's Schiavo's marriage void! Divorced! Her husband has been with another woman since 1996 and has 2 children by this other woman, and is unrepentant. HE has been her guardian, making her decisions, NOT getting her the therapy needed. Pronounce her divorced, send it to George and/or JebBush and ask HIM to provide a guardian for Terri--that guardian will ask for her food and water to be given her again. This is day 7 without water. Please do this.

The "death" promoters expect us to kick up ruckus for a while, beat our collective breasts, wail and moan for a while, and then go away. As we usually have done on various issues in the past. They expect us to lose steam and not gain any momentum.

All the while, since many of us are what is contemptuously called "conservative Christians", they will report the most outlandish comments one of us makes in their media, post pictures of some of the more demonstrative of us praying with our hands waving in the air, looking to the rest of the country, and probably the world, like a bunch of simple minded kooks.

They will be sure that THEIR spokes people are portrayed in the media as the calm and rational ones, with only our best interests at heart. They'll talk about kindness and gentleness, and "peacefully slipping away to be with God". They will do all this with a straight face, in spite of the torture they have inflicted on Terri, and her entire family.

Its a well organized campaign. Time is on their side here. They really believe they can render us impotent and, even if we don't go away, we won't have the power to stop them. After all, THEY have the judges, the new demi-gods of America.

I think I see your point. You disagree with the Florida law. So by your example, since air conditioning should not be considered as a "life-prolonging procedure," neither should the feeding tube. Is that what you're saying?

A desire to exclude a certain class of procedures should not be interpreted so as to exclude procedures which, when the desire was stated, existed and would not have been considered to be in that class.

When Terri supposedly made her statements, they could not have been construed at the time so as to forbid the use of gastrostomic feeding and hydration. There is no reason to believe they were ever intended to forbid such things. Reconstrual after the fact is craven.

Jeb cannot be arrested. He can be impeached. That means he has to weigh his future as a politician against the life of a citizen of the state of Florida. By stopping, he evidently made his choice.

I haven't heard about that aspect. All I've seen for some time is the new argument about "due process" and that Terri tried to say "I want to live."

Okay, so my next question is, how can a restraining order issued by a court bar a dept of the executive branch from acting? If a court has that kind of authority, then can a court also issue a restraining order to stop the police from enforcing the law? or to stop the military from fighting a war? This seems like a dangerous precedent in the making.

Be sure to turn into H/C tonight. Sean just said he will have one of Terri's friends, Frances, on the tv show. She was just on the radio show.

I didn't take notes, but one thing she said was that if she heard MS say it once she heard him say a million times, that he had no idea what Terri's wishes were.

She also said that Terri's parents just did not want everyone who had info about Terri to get "embroiled" with MS so they didn't pursue anything in earlier years.
