Excellent post, whoever made it. The executive and legislative are now effectively the *itches of the judiciary. Bend over.

He's making the point that Judge Greer seems to be the only person in power in Florida. That finally sunk in.
But this is total BS. The Governor can issue a stay of execution for a person on death row, so why can't Governor Bush issue a stay for Terri, now that the government is involved?
Plus, not only that, but states take children away from parents daily and put them in foster care. So why can't Florida take Terri out of her estranged husband's care and give her to her parents? Something isn't passing the smell test for me in all of this.

Your words, but apparently the mods don't agree with me:
:This is the difference between a brave people (the Kyrgyz) and a cowardly people (Americans). Brave people know how to mob and "slug it out" for a good cause. Cowards don't. Only a mob like the one in Kyrgyzstan can save Terri now."

It was my understanding that THIS time, Michael did allow Last Rites to be performed just before the feeding tube was removed. IIRC, it was the last time it was removed that the blocked the Priest from entering her room and performing Rites.

I agree with that. I hope to see a thorough investigation of Felos, Greer and their connections to that hospice. And how in God's name does a patient who is not terminal get transferred to a hospice?I agree .. I want a full investigation into this
Dittos to that. Isn't Felos on the board of this Hospice? I read that somewhere, but admit there's so much information floating around that I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

Michael Schiavo needs to explain to the world how it is that another woman could give birth to two of his children and still maintain the moral ground to represent Terry Schindler/Schiavo as her husband.
His rights as a husband have been forfeited by his own actions.
To: gruffwolf
As far as I'm concerned, her husband won't face judgement soon enough.

There seem to be too few "checks" to achieve the proper "balance" these days. I would suggest something obvious--pay attention when voting for judges. However, way too few people do. Most just rubberstamp a judge term after term--it's not difficult, though, to check out the rulings. In some areas, the judges don't even have to list their political affiliation.

The law the US congress crafted was clearly unconstitutional as it was special law intended for only one individual. Please cite the Constitutional refeerence that says they can't do that.

>>>What would be interesting would be if someone were to step forward and press charges against Terri for a crime she commited before this all happened.
Wouldn't the state then be obligated to arrest (take into custody) Terri?>>>
A person can't press charges. The government presses charges with the testimony of the person. I wish that would work though.

Especially since Greer, himself, is an elected judge.
