Well, even if Rather does show up on 60 Minutes (and I don't think he will) at least he is gone from the netwrok news. Schieffer may be liberal, but he doesn't have the mind-set of a thug.

I hold Rather in MORE contempt after watching this special. He is PROUD of what he did. Yuk!I guess I have a pretty good memory... back in the day my family and I always watched Cronkite every night, then Rather. I always knew Danny Boy was very proud of what he did, espcially in making his anti-war views known during Viet Nam and doing his best to assist in bringing Republicans down...

Rather's gone. Gave a totally depressing newscast without mentioning President Bush once, and closed with "Courage."
His special featured footage of attack stories on al the Republican presidents, with nary a mention of Carter or Clinton.
He closed his special by trying to portray himsself as a hard-nosed reporter and failed miserably.
Bottom line: Rather is gone.

I sufferred thru the last 5 minutes of the CA broadcast.
