If BIlly Crystal won't come back, I vote for Robin Williams.

You've got to be kidding. Williams was more than pathetic tonight.

You said "could" and, apparently, MEANT to say *may*:

may - 1. To be allowed or permitted to: May I take a swim? Yes, you may. 2. Used to indicate a certain measure of likelihood or possibility: It may rain this afternoon.

could - Past tense of can. 1. Used to indicate ability or permission in the past

Think about it.

Or, I could wait & see if I run into Carlos & give it back to him. He lives here in Ratboy County (Marin), CA, along with Bonnie Raitt. I have one of her CD's I'm waiting to give back to her and tell her I'm never buying another one.

Carlos grew up here in the Bay Area during the sixties and he's obviously never grown out of them. A lot of those 60's peace clowns like him act like they're so spiritual, but deep down they're the biggest hatemongers.

"I can't believe she got freaky over who was going to read the envelope. What a witch. She just showed how true the rumors are about her being a control freak."

LOL, and with Dustin Hoffman standing right next to her, I had an ugly "Mrs. Robinson" flashback!

Did Sean Penn hold a seance to bring back Ousay and Qusay ?

Even better. Chris Rock made some jokes about Jude Law being in every movie ever made, and 2 HOURS LATER, Sean Penn goes on stage angry as hell about the Jude Law jokes. Penn looked like a drunk, unemployed guy chasing kids off his lawn.

[Clint, on his mom] "She's here with me again tonight . . . at 96. . . ."

So, Clint, you gonna put her down when she gets a little older?

Ray Charles led a life of drug use, promiscuity and so forth.

Aviator? Well, we know Hughes sold his design to the Japanese and it came back to the U.S. as the Zero.

MDB appears to support a libertarian or objectivist view. A priest tries to talk her out of it, so I've heard.

"Actually it is about euthanasia...sure there's a priest in it who debates the issue but in the end euthanasia wins. "

We've come a long way in the movies. I can remember seeing Tom Tryon in "The Cardinal." My memory is a bit faded, but his sister, played by Carol Lynley was pregnant out of wedlock and experiencing a life-threatening labor. Because he was the next of kin, he had to make the decision for the doctors to save his sister or her baby. As a priest, he had no choice but to have them save the life of the baby. I was quite young when I saw the film and I remember questioning my mother about his decision. She explained to me that because he was a priest, he could not authorize the taking of a life...that life being the baby's. It is something that has stayed with me for quite a long time and your mentioning the priest and euthanasia in "Million Dollar Baby" brought it all back to me.

Winslet got robbed too, with Titanic, and probably this other one as well. I saw the clips of DiCaprio and thought he looked pretty darn impressive, a good strong second at least to Foxx. As as actor, he is very good. His day will come.

You are too political and see things through too ethnic a glass to really get much of a handle on reality, when it comes to how the Academy works. Politicizing everything can become a neurosis. This political junkie sees a lot of that in this neighborhood. The cure is being better at carpentialization I suspect.

It figures Penn would lose his sobriety on Oscar night and make an ass of himself. I'm glad I missed the whole show !

You've been snookered by the sympathetic portrayal of the lead character.

It didn't take much did it?
