The pre-spin: Bush will spend about 1/2 the speech on foreign policy, 1/2 on domestic, with heavy emphasis on Social Security reform. It's said he will provide a detailed tutorial on the SS system and its problems with a few details on his personal accounts proposal.
Laura's guests are said to be an Afghan voter and an Iraqi voter (too bad there's no Ukrainian wearing an orange hat!).
Should we start a drinking game on how many times the pool camera swings to Hillary? Hmmm. Probably not...it would likely hamper out typing ability.
Word on the blogs has it that the closing part of the speech is a hum-dinger. Set your VCR's.
Report here on outrageous MediaCrat spin before AND after the SOTU. Pictures and screen caps welcome.
I am starting to think the the Shia and the Sunnis have nothing on the dems and the Reps.
The way the dems have been acting since 2000, I think the "hatred" between the dems and the Reps, rivals the animosity between those two groups.
....and gets her makeup from DU!
Neut is on FNC
Giving kick but comments.
Democrats disheartened.
Great pics!
Thank you!
oh stop.....you are just being emotional now.....I"m not sticking up for him and I don't look bad......you don't know what a true psychopath is but you could enlighten me since i have advanced degree in Psych. but you are confusing hate of a man for something else.....haven't you even heard Repubs say Clinton was a master politician. All Repubs have said that.......where were you???????
My Dear Wormwood,
Thank you for bringing the term "bed-wetting liberal douche" to the conversation! Not used enough.
I do get a little tired of Sean hammering away on one point over and over, regardless of what else is said. Alan sickens me however. I would pledge undying loyalty to any of these guys that would concede a point on conscience instead of flailing away to make sure "their side" was represented.
Fondly,
Screwtape
I hate to say it, but if I looked like that my husband would find himself a Monica, too, and I don't know that I would blame him.
I'm sorry, I just don't see it. His schtick (constantly throwing other people's quotes around) is so lame it's groan-inducing.
I'm sorry. I know he's got fans.
"I sort of wish John Edwards was still in the Senate. Always was a good camera shot when the Presdient slamed lawyers."
True, but ya still have all the Dims on the Judiciary Committe (Plugs, Leaky, et al)
Peggy commented that not all people can have a democratic government. This was made right before the Iraqi elections. This was inexcusable.
She armed our enemies with her comments. It was an irresponsible column, and not well thought.
But tomorrow, she will have a column saying that Bush followed her lead. Full of herself, she is. Bah.
I'll be waiting for the same people that dissed Peggy Noonan to be dissing Charles, one of the finest conservatives ever.....
Apples and oranges. We have not targeted civilians, we have not cut off supplies and services to civilians. We have fought those who were doing so and enabled and encouraged the citizens of Iraq to stand for their freedom.
This war has been vindicated by the victory of the vote, of the voters
Colmes on now having a little snit fit about what Newt is saying.
Backyard party at Bill O'Reilly's house.
If you try to read this thread, you'll be doing it for a day or two. There's more on here than during the debates. I think!
" Hannity doesn't register on the depth meter. I honestly believe that Hannity is some form of anthropoid plant or fungus."
That's a rather Lovecraftian diagnosis. You should at least check out his earlier works, which he wrote under the pseudonym Abdul Alhazred.
AAAAAIIIEEEEE! I was headed for bed but that's good for a nightmare.
