The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
The Schindler family were to be in court today ... has this happened?
The court hearing was moved to Wednesday, Feb 23rd. Judge Greer should have the mandate by then.

Wampus SC: yes, I had thought of those signs, and tried to follow the Little Jack Horner/Little Miss Muffet rhyming patterns that many of the Burma Shave signs used. I added an extra frame today specifically to give it more of the B.shave feel I also added 2 quotes from Father Frank's visit with Terri TWO WEEKS ago.
I give permission for anyone else to use the graphic as an avatar or banner or in other ways that help Terri. If used as a banner on other threads or other sites you visit, it may alert more people to her cause, or change some peoples minds.
I tried to keep it as small as possible, only 59 Kb total, so it loads quickly, and browsers only load it once no matter how many times it appears on pages.
Whenever it says TerrisFight.org I dotted the 'i's with tiny hearts.
If it looks wierd or broken for anyone, send me a screen snap and I'll figure it out.
Question to all: Are there high volume websites ANYWHERE on the internet where we can pay a small fee (or maybe a free exchange) to have a banner ad like this displayed? Does anyone know how free banner exchanges work?

I can't understand why Information like this doesn't Motivate those in Power to do More to Save our Terri! I Appreciate everything they've Already Done, but More is Urgently Needed, because Time is Growing Short!

I just saw a trailer on FoxNews that said she was totally dependent on machines to survive. They make it sound like she is on life support. I am so disgusted with the lies of the media.
I'm going to contact Fox News now to get them to correct their mistake.

I e-mailed Greer but I doubt if it will do any good. I'm so pessimistic and down. How in America could this happen? She wasn't always on a feeding tube. They just put it in to make the nursing care more convenient. The first statement I called "inaccurate," because "non-catholic" would include those from other Christian communions, and non-baptized persons alike. When discussing the "rules of the Church," a more precise vocabulary must be used, otherwise there will be misunderstandings.
It says a special dispensation is required for a "disparity of cult" and then explains that a disparity of cult is between a Catholic and a non-baptized person, which is not the case in most mixed marriages. If there was a "special dispensation", we never knew about it.
I don't know that it is the case that most mixed marriages are between Catholics and other baptized individuals. There are very many marriages between Catholics and Jews. In those cases, a special dispensation would be required for them to marry in the Catholic Church.
Pre Vatican II, it was more difficult for Catholics to marry non-Catholics. That's accurate.
They became Catholics after they were married for a long period of time, and the Church would not recognize their marriage or allow them to marry in the Church because they couldn't prove that my grandfather's first marriage was to a lady that had not been baptized.
I'm sorry that your grandparents had to go through that, but I realize what the Church's position was. The Church recognizes valid marriages between parties of other Christian communions, and different religions. The Church defends valid marriages, period.
About 30 years later the Church gave them permission to marry after they were able to prove she hadn't been baptized and his first marriage was then considered not a marriage in the eyes of the Church.
Without knowing the exact particulars, it sounds to me like your grandfather did not need an annulment, but rather that the Pauline Privilege was invoked, which freed him to marry your grandmother in the Church.
Your grandparents' love of the Church is very inspiring to me. And how they loved each other! God bless them.
It sounds like the "special dispensation" you refer to below must be hard to get between a Catholic and a non-baptized, person.
I don't have the impression that it's hard to get, but that it's a more serious degree of ecclesiastical approval. If I'm wrong about this, someone please correct me.

Today, the 2nd DCA denied the Schindlers' motion to withhold their mandate, which is expected to be issued tomorrow morning, Tuesday - February 22, 2005.
Upon learning of this, attorney George Felos contacted the Schindlers' attorney to inform him that he intended to instruct the staff at Hospice to remove Terri Schiavo's food and fluids at 1.00pm ET on Tuesday, February 22.
The Schindlers' attorney, David Gibbs, filed an emergency motion today for clarification and temporary stay, asking that the court direct no further action be taken until the rescheduled hearing on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2.45pm ET. Mr. Gibbs also asked Mr. Felos if he and his client would refrain from instructing caregivers to remove food and fluids from Terri. Mr. Felos refused, stating that he was under instructions from his client.
Judge George Greer has declined to rule on the Schindlers' motion for clarification and stay until 1.00pm tomorrow, the same time Mr. Felos has declared Terri's tube will be removed. It is the opinion of the Schindlers and their attorneys that Mr. Schiavo has no authority to instruct such an action without a specific court order that mandates the date and time of such action. Mr. Felos does not agree.
Mr. Felos also wrote to the Judge Greer, claiming he no longer had jurisdiction and that his client will have Terri's tube removed.
