I grew up in suburban Chicago and lived in NYC for 17 years. I took it first and was tagged at 49% "barely in yankee territory".

I was rated 39% "definitely Yankee territory" so I don't know how this test is being scored. I lived most of my life in Wisconsin with a couple of years in Illinois and Mississippi and I know some of there words were slotted into the wrong regions.

I remember when I was in College I met a girl from R.I. She was looking for a "bubbler" and I was perplexed. She kept asking me where the bubbler was, so I asked what she was talking about. (Water fountain.) Interesting (to me) that one of the questions on the test involves this word.

LOL! I grew up in SoDak and Wyo! The only reason it's even that high is due to my grandma's Mississippi upbringing (she's got a great fried chicken recipe) and the fact I've spent most of my adult life down South.
