Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all. "He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND. No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time. Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance. I'm a liberal? Really. Why don't you break that down for me.
Who is Kid Rock? Some boy band?
I met Sam a few months before he died. Although I didn't care for his very popular comedy, I thought he was a nice guy.
"It's great stepping on liberal toes....
"
Which liberal toes do you suppose you have stepped on? All those guys fighting in Iraq who think Kid Rock is great and who voted for Bush? Those liberals?
If you don't like Kid Rock's lyrics, then I invite you not to listen to them. I don't like them myself, and don't think I'd recognize a Kid Rock track if I heard it. Unlike you, however, I feel it's up to each individual to make decisions about what he/she listens to. I certainly don't think it is, or should be, up to you or the government.
By calling some really old hands here on FR liberals, you expose yourself as something other than a genuine conservative.
So, go ahead and gloat at "stepping on liberal toes." It won't last long.
Quite a thread.
Why? Because you say so?
I have known them a lot longer then I have known you and they are not liberals. I don't always agree with them but my not agreeing with someone does not make them a liberal.
This conservative did not write to ask Kid Rock be taken off the roster because frankly it is none of my business who they have there. And that is one of the key points of being a conservative, mind your own business.
Kid Rock produces two versions of many of his songs, the regular version and the cleaned up version. That shows that he is able to appreciate and accommodate for different groups of people and different types of audiences.
He likely would have accommodated this one (providing that he was even invited in the first place).
Let's see, you've been here 2 months,
yet you can tell us all about FR. ROTFLOL!
I'm Gen-X, also.
I believe you misunderstood. I am definitely NOT a Bush hater. I don't believe Dubya makes the call concerning who's going to entertain. Whether or not Kid Rock plays though, my point was that he's not the worst person in the world. Holy $hit, the motherf#(ker swears in some of his songs!!! And I believe he engages in pre-marital sex (with women). Nope, no one in the President's administration would do any such thing.
Damn, at least he's patriotic and respectful of the troops.
I think "Nannies" are a minority among social conservatives, let alone the party. Don Wildmon types get the airtime because of controversy.
Most I know leave others alone as they want to be left alone by the PC'ers.
Sorry bubba, it's spot on.
A tight knit group of fanatics can pervert any religious or political movement to it's detriment.
I'll make a permanant note of your intellectual dishonesty and DU-like innuendo.
Bwa haha haha
I'll bet you can trace your family history back to the inquisitions.
Then who is acceptable? Pat Boone? He made a heavy metal album with Ozzy Osborne he's not acceptable.
How about bruce springstone or the dixie twits?
Kid Rock supports the president and the troops and he's "Not Acceptable" to play at the ball?
the republicans are all wusses.
BAHAHAHAHAH!! Some rap freak gets cut from the Inaug party when the backers find out about the guy and suddenly it's 1984! OK. I bet we are "thought police" because we don't let Michael Moore MC the shindig.
