I have no problem with him either, The President, the Troops, even Sean Hannity have no problem with him. This is the kind of crap the liberals would pull!
To: Pondman88
Kid may not have had the "changed" the way Bush did, but he has shown that he can preform in "mixed company".
To: Reform4Bush
Personally I was hoping for a Brittney/Kid Rock duet and a wardrobe malfunction. No need to wait...here ya go...

"You and Farah can keep it up, but I hope you realize that too much nagging and nannyism often produces a backlash and marginalization, and increases the likelihood that Giuliani wins the GOP primary. Social conservatives are not the majority of the GOP, and thus we need votes from other wings of conservatism to win. Spit on 'em too much, and they may surprise you."So it's your position that the performance from a vulgar artist at the Presidential Inaugural is crucial in order that the GOP win future elections??
Lol, NOW I've heard it all.
P.S. -- "Social conservatives" IF NOT the "majority of the GOP," ARE indeed the backbone.
This Party DIES without us -- like it or not.

It may very well be. But I was speaking generally, not necessarily in reference to this debacle. As other posters have noted, this kind of thing has happened before. Whether or not this is a "real" story (and I'm not sure it is, either), it's bringing up some real concerns that I think are important.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to see the GOP ending up looking like a mirror-image of the Dems. They pandered to a few elements of their party, and they got hijacked.

My moral values are support the troops who ensure my freedom with their lives. My values are to put our troops and their families on a pedestal and thank them - often.
If Kid Rock is good enough for them-then by God , Kid Rock is good enough for me.

Ok, go home and watch his anal porn and listen to him sing about the vulgar crap he sings about.
Garbage in garbage out.

I'm down wit dat. Someone tell the "Christian Taliban" that they don't have as much "power" as they think they have in politics. Just because the country is developing character that identifies right and wrong, doesn't put THEM in charge. Moral Values. Moral Values?
To: Robert_Paulson2
It's certainly beginning to look that way, and I don't like it one bit.

You are correct, the GOP NEEDS the Christan Conservative.
But how far do you think we will get without the rest of the party?
To: loborojo
I just don't think that bitches, hoes, pimps, m@therf*ckers, c#cks, etc, belong at the Inauguration. That would leave no one left at the event.

"Do we define Bush by his actions as a young man?"Bad analogy.
Dubya has repented of his ways of 20 years ago.

BTW, what is the correct plural for "ho"? Hoes? Hos? Ho's? Ho-Hos? Has William Safire touched on this?

Lots of people here at FR are OBSESSED with sex, in all shapes and forms. They're quick to condemn somebody like Kid, but drool all over other celebrities and watch crap like "Sex in the City," as if that's real.
Most of them don't have any life to speak of and spend all their times criticizing those who do; prigs and prudes.

As I said in a latter post.
Are we not defined by our actions?
Good and Bad?
Kid has shown he can behave in mixed company, let him sing.
To: CyberCowboy777
Can I assume you would be against Johnny Cash (RIP) sining Ragged Old Flag at a inaugural ball FYI -- "Ragged Old Flag" was spoken word.

I could think of worse directions in which to go.
I however could think of some 'better' directions in which to go, and they don't involve religious fundamentalists of ANY stripe running the show.
