This thread is for those who got diddly, nada, zilch, zip, zero Christmas Presents this year (or any other year). Come and commiserate. You're among friends here.
And to those of you who offer the beautiful homily, "It's better to give than receive", please take the time to have a nice tall glass of shaddup.
In my case I hope you're a female. If not, then at least a woman trapped in a mans body.
It allows you to go up to random people on the street and demand money. < rim shot >
Are you a boy or a girl? </smirk>
I got a watch, a sweater and a "Mom is great" pen from my daughter. I'm a single Mom with a wonderful 7 year old daughter. She wanted to buy me gifts...with no money. I gave my Mom money to take my daughter shopping for me. My daughter was upset before she and Nana went shopping for me because she didn't have anything to give me and she wanted me to be happy when I opened up presents from her. She is awesome...she made my day!
Depends. Did you know that cyanide has an almond scent and taste?
Virginia Slims won't do? ;)
I got lots and lots and lots of WONDERFUL presents--but then I have been very good ALL year long!
I got a cold, too! Couldn't go eat with my brother and family today. Got no Christmas gift today either. Feel like going to bed and pulling the covers over my head and hoping that the cold will go away soon! I did watch, "My Dog Skip" on TV. Good movie!
If Amex won't give me one, I will manufacture my own!!
AMERICAN EXPRESS INTRODUCES THE CENTURION CARD
Black Card Sets New Standard For Premium Service With Free Upgrades on British Airways Concorde® and Enrollment in Elite Airline Frequent-Flier Programs
NEW YORK, October 14, 1999 -- American Express today announced the introduction of the CenturionTM Card. The Centurion Card will be offered by invitation only to selected Platinum Cardâ members.
The black-colored Centurion Card offers customized personal service to help ease the busy and demanding lifestyles of cardmembers. It has been designed for individuals who travel frequently, entertain often and value single points of contact for service.
We created the Centurion Card in response to customer research that identified a small but affluent group of cardmembers for whom individual attention and access to previously unavailable elite travel benefits was of great interest, said James Bush, senior vice president of Consumer Marketing at American Express. Many of our prospective cardmembers are already frequent travelers receiving elite benefits on one airline. The Centurion Card is the only product on the market that can grant them elite status on four airlines, and much more.
The introduction of the Centurion Card is part of a broader American Express strategy to introduce a wider array of card products to specific market segments.
Our companys innovation includes the creation of the worlds first Travelers Cheque more than 100 years ago, and has continued with unique services for the Personal Card and the invention of the first Gold and Platinum Cards, added Bush. With the Centurion Card, weve again set the standard -- raising the bar in the premium card category.

LOL! No, even though they're "slimmer than the fat cigarettes men smoke". Gotta be Marlboro...
Candles are very good to have during a winter storm and the electricity goes off...or when a hurricane comes through...or when you need light where there is no electricity... Other ideas, y'all??????
George, is that you?
The most important Christmas present for all of us is the tiniest under the tree -- the presence of the Child Jesus Christ.
We all got this present.
