I am sad to report that Freeper Militiaman7 passed away this morning from cancer.
He loved FreeRepublic and was a local leader of FREEPS in the Roanoke, VA area. He had a FreeRepublic Banner he brought to all our Freeps.
He was a disabled veteran who served his country. We will miss his quick sense of humor and his love for America and FreeRepublic.
I have no further information at this time.
I wish God would leave the good ones here. RIP.
May God keep him in his tender care.
Our loss is heaven's gain.
Rest In Peace Militiaman7
NAsbU 2 Corinthians 5:4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. 6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord-- 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight-- 8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
RIP Militiaman7! And Thank You for your military service!
Thanks for the update Gopher Broke!
God bless you, MilitiaMan7 and your family. We'll miss you greatly in the Roanoke area.
Til we meet again.
Thank you for your service
Thanks for the ping, deadhead, and for the notice, Gopher Broke. I am so sorry to hear this - it's always sad to hear we've lost another FReeper. Prayers for his family - such a hard time to lose a loved one.
Virginia ping.
Thank you for posting the picture of a Virginia patriot.
May his family be comforted and he be rewarded with that complete rest and full health provided by The FAther.
Yes, may he rest in peace, and may he keep a watchful eye over America.
Did you notice the flip flops on the back of his mini-van in the photo? I got a chuckle out of that. A fighter to the end.
I'm sorry to hear this. My sincere condolences to El Malo, his Freeper son, and his wife.
Many times I have Freeped alongside this good man. Whether he was in his chair or using his cane ---- nothing stopped him! Such dedication!
I hope he will be taking his place on the Freeper Memorial Wall.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and his son at the original Patriot's Rally for America. They probably wouldn't remember me but I remember them well.
Prayers on the way.
God Bless you and your family. Welcome home! Say hi to my Dad, a closet freeper thought he was!
Yes, El Malo, his son, is still in Afghanistan...he will be coming home for the funeral, probably on Wed.
Also, Freeper Ben Dover is his son-in-law.
I visited his family tonight...his twin brother asked me to make sure that Anglewood knew....I see that you do.
You may send any cards of condolence to PO Box 21314, Roanoke, VA 24018 and I will make sure that his wife gets all the cards.
This came as a shock to all of us..he was fighting cancer but the chemo was working for him. He was taken to the VA Hospital this morning and apparently died of a blood clot.
SW VA has truly lost a great patriot and a man that really loved our country.
