Listening to Lewis & Floorwax (radio personalities out of Denver, CO on 103.5). Boulder High School is having a talent show Friday night. One of the acts is a band that includes 2 teachers, the band name is "The Taliband". They will be performing a song they worte titled "I Wish George Bush was Dead". This was reported by a parent. The band had to audition in front of a group including two other teachers and were selected to perform Friday night.
Take plenty of ripe tomatoes to the show. You know what to do.
CU Boulder, Arts and Parties.
I had three years of college, did an active duty stint in the Navy, went drilling reserve and finished my BA at Bozoulder.
Isn't the whole Boulder area surrounded by witch covens, satanist and new age religion international centers?
I heard it's Sodom and Gomorrah in that sense.
If it's true then the fruit of such a tree isn't surprising.
Oh dear, a slow news day I fear.
Sounds like a better name would be, Shiite and Shinola.
The guy sounds like a real cow.

Teachers, huh? Then they shoud be corrected: "I Wish George Bush were Dead"
Except that they are misinformed, Mr. Cabrera. The Draft issue was a canard created by Democrats. And, in case you hadn't heard, they lost.
>>>Hyphenated twit! Better worry about not having any brains.
So true.
I wonder if their parents are/were dope smoking hippies?
*sigh* My husband is from Colorado, and we've been planning to move to Colorado Springs since we got married. Every time I hear these stories, even if it *IS* from Boulder, I wonder if we should look elsewhere.
Is the rest of the state relatively sane?
Mostly, and the Springs is the epicenter of conservative Colorado.
I live in Weld County, which is north of Denver and includes the city of Greeley, the proud host of President Bush a couple weeks ago. I understand a democrat has never been elected to a county wide office in Weld County.
Thanks for the ping!
>>> Why - are we going to be using the trees for ammo in our war with these five countries?
Yes. Didn't you see the press release about Operation Whack a Mole? We will be using trees to club our enemies over the head.
The latest is that during the rehearsal for the talent show a couple of teachers participated with the students in the band that was performing the anti-war song by Dylan. Toward the end of the song they changed the words of the original song and inserted George Bush's name and said they would like to see him dead.
One of the teachers who participated in the band is the teacher sponsor of a communist style students group. He is obviously using the students to advance his own agenda along the lines of a "workers party".
The administration, needless to say, is sympathetic with this outrage and has refused to address the situation.
Colorado Springs is okay - believe me I live here - Fort Carson, Peterson AFB, NORAD and the Air Academy - pretty rock solid.
The big fuss in "The Federal Republic of Boulder" right now is one of their High Schools kicked a marine recruiter off campus the other day.
The story hit the radio stations and now the high school relented and is willing to "discuss arrangements" with the recruiter as a result of the publicity.
Under the "no child left behind" law, military recruiters must me allowed access the same as college recruiters.
That high school was violating the law and has since gotten smart real fast.
Pretty pathetic. They will hear from me today. That's my tax dollars paying that teacher.
Instigated by the same teacher being discussed in this thread.
Me too.
