Would FREEPERS contribute to a FOI suit to force the release of kerry's military records?

Didn't a newspaper sue to have President Bush's records released? Now it's our turn. Are we willing pay to get the entire Kerry military record released to the public?

I'd be willing to donate a few bucks to see Kerry's entire military record. If they (rats, media) got President Bush's record we should be able to get the Kerry's record.

Would SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH take the lead in this effort? If not, who?

In my opinion other methods should be explored. Kerry has no obligation to produce his records at this point as he is no longer running for president. However, I understand that he is looking into the idea of runnning in 08 so we have four years.

No basis for suit. Privacy Act protects the records. Kerry's consent is required. Same standard that should be applied (but wasn't) to Limbaugh's medical records.

I'd kick in, though the immediate relevance is obviously reduced..

Leave Kerry alone.

He's thinking of running next time...we don't want to do anything to discourage him.

The US Senate needs to take the lead.

That is if they had the guts to do it.

Sorry to say, but an FOI won't do it. The Washington Post filed one...and got six pages worth. The remaining 100+ pages are unavailable for public scrutiny until and unless Kerry signs a Form 180.

Only Kerry can release the rest of his military record.

"Same standard that should be applied (but wasn't) to Limbaugh's medical records."

Then a NEW precendent has been established and can be used in retrieving Kerrie's military, medical records, and his diary, which a local talkshow hosts claims he wrote that he spoke to "terrorists" in France in 1971.

Look into filing for the documents under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act). Doesn't matter if the person is running for office or a public person - anyone can file one of the on any other person in DOD. This is the only way to get his info without his permission. The issue with medical records (like Rush) is different because of the confidentiality between doctor and patient. I do not know if you do or do not need a lawyer to do this.
If this doesn't work, surely someone some where can find a mole in BupPers or where they store Navy records who might be willing to toss some papers into the trash. (Just kidding, but it is a thought.)

Yes, he`s still in the senate, still voting on policy and still a traitor, still a liar, still got 55 million votes. Who in the GOP will inspire the voter turnout in 2008?

Good point, Tonk, Maybe we should petition our Senators to file ethic charges against Kerry.

I think I read that President Bush signed an Executive Order to have the Military release his records.

"Maybe we should petition our Senators to file ethic charges against Kerry."

I doubt that they would even bother to read it.

99 other Senators are protecting one of their own.

And where the hell is Rush, Hannity, Ann Coulter etc on this issue.

It's part of an eloborate hoax on everyday Americans.

Do you really think you will get any of the Senators to try this They cover each others asses better than doctors or lawyers.
NO matter what they said about him during the election he's back to being one of the good old boys.

I don't think an FOI suit would do it, but we should keep the pressure on.

It would severely damage the Democrat party and its leftist wing if it were demonstrated to the American people that they promoted a traitorous liar to be their presidential candidate. That their great hero who "reported for duty" at the convention was given a dishonorable discharge, as seems likely.

It's also something we owe our Vietnam veterans, including the killed and wounded. They deserve to have their honor restored and the historical record corrected.

Thats the reason to keep at it...........most of the 55 million wouldn't believe it if Kerry said it to them himself.
