The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

O....I can read enough to get a general idea. But when clicking on the subjects within the forum, I think you need to be a member; because it won't let me into the individual subjects.

The picture of the Islamic guy at the top is what is labeled "Soldier of Light". Also the main gist of this forum is to "maintain the purity of Islam".

It seems like ages ago now but can we take it the second Bin laden tape has been buried for good? As more time passes, the only reason I can think of for Al-Jazeera sitting on this tape is that it is not to be transmitted until after an attack.

Apparently, a USP worker showed up in the ER with chemical burns of unknown origin. ER is currently locked down.

Note on Carolina ER lockdown - the chemical was a blue dye used for clothing. ER has been reopened.

UV devices do not detect radioactivity. They are probably used to identify special marks on the bills to prevent counterfits. UV's are the "black lights" type of bulb.

That was my thinking as well. UV can, however, kill some biohazards. Question: is the UV used for counterfeit detection strong enough to kill the little germies?

Thanks - you all do the same. I can't figure it out. Last night the security in Times Square was very high, this morning - nothing but pigeons in the square. I don't understand how it can differ so dramatically in a 15 hour span.
