Wasn't his son murdered, or killed...maybe comitted suicide or something?

Yes, he committed suicide, and if memory serves it was about the time of the 2000 election. I remember Hume making a somber statement, and thinking that if this had happened to my son I could never have spoken about it without sobbing uncontrollably.

Maybe there are bad memories returning to him.

This will be very tight. A recount would not shock me.

Even a 1% margin will do.

He gave us the brains and a lot of folks knocked themselves out in the GOTV.

I'm feeling very confident.

God gave me the time and strength to GOTV down here in Florida. He knows my heart.

Okay, Joe Lockhart was "briefing reporters, trying to look upbeat" according to Wolf Blitzer. :)

They must know something they don't want to report, LOL!

I don't know. My cousin lives in Bucks County, PA. He's a snobbish liberal writer. I know there are lots of New Yorkers that retire and go over there. The rural and Omish area has lots of Republicans. Go figure.

From the Kerry Spot on National Review:

'THE BUSHIES SHOULD BE CONFIDENT ABOUT FLORIDA' [11/02 10:04 PM]

From a guy in the media who used to cover Florida:

The Bushies should be confident about Florida. Been following along throughout the evening; brought back memories of CQ in 2000. One of the differences in Florida (that was one of my states back then) this year is that the possibly Dem counties have enough GOP votes so far to blunt the impact of the Dem strongholds. Of course, we've got little from Miami-Dade and Palm Beach, but Broward isn't even 2-1 Kerry at this point while Bush leads in Hillsborough (Tampa), Pinellas (St. Pete/Clearwater) and Orange (Orlando), all part of the vaunted I-4 corridor. Hard to see Palm Beach and Miami-Dade being far off the trends to swing it for Kerry.

Obviously, one should not get too far ahead of oneself. But I understand that a county near Tallahassee, with 80,000 to 100,000 votes for Bush, has yet to report.

I love Brit Hume. He is the one standby at FNC you can count on. But he definitely looks sick or something. mispronouncing words, results, etc.
