I'm going with an Australian Shiraz... need to pace myself. That's what I'm drinking, too. As another FReeper mentioned, I hope I don't start slurring my posts!

Yes, I'm glad I got here early to this thread. George Clooney's dad is losing 53 to 42%. (state - too fast to see). FOX NEEDS TO SLOW DOWN THEIR GRAPHICS. I cannot follow them.

Hey, I know many of you are very emotionally invested in tonight's outcome, but that being said, I thought it was noteworthy to post what "the dark siders" are reporting (i.e., Lefty blogs).
Per Wonkette, FWIW, about 30 minutes ago (WARNING: If you don't want to read any unsubstantiated "bad news", look away):
"A certain high ranking former republican senator called Karl Rove around 5:15 this evening. Bush's brain sounded "dejected" and gave less than a 30% chance for a Bush win."
Hey, don't shoot me...

Based on past viewing of returns in Florida, the Republican needs to net close to 60 percent in the early returns to be assured of a victory, since South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade) report later and will erode any (R) lead. What about the Panhandle?

If Bush can maintain his slim lead in FL before the pan handle polls close, he can put it in the win column.

Bush maintained a lead of 120,000 - 140,000 votes in Florida until around 90% counted, then the 4 big rat counties unleashed the dimple chads.
