I only trust the telephone poll, we have all seen what you can do with an internet poll.

They are predicting a Kerry win, thinking that he is ahead in FL, PA, and OH, despite showing Bush up 49-48. They are wrong.

They are also touting the lie that undecideds break to the challenger 2-1 or 4-1, despite the fact that history shows just the opposite in Presidential elections.

These being the same people reporting that The President was up 6 points amongst the 24% of LV's that had ALREADY voted? What's up with that?

...and their phone polling was solidly over the weekend, and we've had hard evidence (Rasmussen) that such polls favor the RATs. Move along.... nothing to see here....

One issue about telephone polls that I have not heard much about. Many people have given up on telephones (land lines) and switched to cell phones only - especially when you can get internet via cable. (I am one of these people.)

It seems they miss the cell phone only people. I wonder how that will factor in.

Traditionally, the Undecideds break about 50-50. In 2000, there was the Gore Abberration, thanks to the DUI October Surprise. They went 4:1 for Gore.

Are the Republican monitors guarding against attempts to keep polling places open later than the law allows in hopes of loading up on Democrat votes? I remember that Democrat tactic was a significant problem in the 2000 elections.

Yesterday they had Bush winning.

Posted on 11/01/2004 7:08:37 PM EST by traderrob6 The latest Harris Poll shows Bush ahead of sKerry 49 45. You will remeber that in 2000 Harris was the only one that got it exactly right

Harris historically skews Democrat. But they also reported that absentee ballots were breaking for W 50 to 44.

I'm glad you're exposing this urban legend that the undecideds break for the challenger in Presidential elections. It's only happened three times. I wonder if those three were during a time of war, also. Highly unlikely.

I dont think there is real evidence either way, what is known is that the challengers final totals are always higher than the final polls.

But the Campaigns have been doing pollls of nothing but undecideds and the Bush campaign has been saying that they show that the undecideds are breaking 2-1 for Bush. Lets hope its not a dissapointment.
