Make that +2 in Ohio a +3, and I'll believe it. :o)

I'm still sticking with my +4 prediction by Tuesday.

You know these Right Track/Wrong Track polls are misleading.

I give Bush an A+ as President..but I think the nation is on a HUGE WRONG track. I think our media is on the WRONG track. I think our nations Morals are on the WRONG track. I think the size of Government is on the WRONG track. I think lots of things are on the wrong track..but that is our nation as a whole and independent of the job Bush is doing.

Does that make any sense?

I've withehld making any predictions, however with this poll - and some other generic newsroom info - I predict W wins with an electoral vote around 280. Due to voter fraud in IL, PA, and elsewhere he >may< lose the popular vote, or it might be close enough for the ratz to start screaming like they did in 2000.

Bottom line is we can't rest! We have to get the vote out! It has to be a big enough win to drive a stake through the ratz heart.

Like they have one...

SWEET! electoral-vote.com should be interesting in the morn!

I'll take any number between 270 and 538 but I'd much prefer somthing closer to 538!

I count Dubya having 300 electoral votes based on electoral-vote.com overlaid with these results.

Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. conducted these polls from October 15 through October 18, 2004. A total of 625 likely voters in each state were interviewed by telephone.

The Mason-Dixon Minnesota Poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. from October 27 through October 29, 2004. A total of 625 registered Minnesota voters were interviewed statewide by telephone. All stated they were likely to vote in the November general election.

So who knows at this stage what this data is suppose to represent.......

Well I've read the story three times and I maybe mi-reading it, but the way I read it is between the 10th and the 18th.

Perhaps I'm over looking something.

I think there is a typo in Mason Dixon's results on Kerry's "neutral" and "unfavorable" ratings in OH. No way the numbers should show such a statistically significant different result from other states.

That graphic is not correct. The accompanying story confirms ALL these polls were conducted Oct 26 - 29.

What graphic are you talking about? And this disclosure is part of the text: "Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. of Washington, D.C. conducted these polls from October 15 through October 18, 2004."

I pray to god republicans turn out heavily, even in states W will win. If we lose the popular vote again, but win the election, I fear for the electoral college. People will be demanding to get rid of it or change it.

Yes, if you go to RCP and check the individual states like AR and FL, these numbers have NOT been previously posted as Mason-Dixon results. We haven't seen these numbers before. These are all NEW numbers, and RCP has posted them as such on their front page. The article older date range is wrong and the Oct 26-29 dates must be correct.

That said, this is a set of great state numbers, including winning in the majors FL and OH. The ones we're losing are just within a point or two, showing how close these Blue states are to tipping over.

Twice the article says that these polls were done Oct 27 to 29th. Towards the bottom it says these polls were done Oct 15 to 18th.

I have to assume they were done Oct 27 to 29th. Mason Dixon did polls last week. Why would MSNBC post polls from two weeks ago?

The Oct 15th to 18th must be a misprint.

I sure hope these are the most recent polls.

I've thought about that a lot Rep.

I'm not sure I'd say America is on the right track because of the moral decline, but that has nothing to do with amazing job the President's doing in trying to turn it around.

I think the whole thing is misleading.
