You know these Right Track/Wrong Track polls are misleading.

I give Bush an A+ as President..but I think the nation is on a HUGE WRONG track. I think our media is on the WRONG track. I think our nations Morals are on the WRONG track. I think the size of Government is on the WRONG track. I think lots of things are on the wrong track..but that is our nation as a whole and independent of the job Bush is doing.

Does that make any sense?

I've thought about that a lot Rep.

I'm not sure I'd say America is on the right track because of the moral decline, but that has nothing to do with amazing job the President's doing in trying to turn it around.

I think the whole thing is misleading.

Yes it does Illinois Rep and I saw a recent discussion on O'Reilly a couple of weeks back when John Kasich was sitting in for Bill when one of the guests with Newsweek or Time magazine - I forget which - pointed out some of the exact same things you just did. He stated "ten percent of the American people will tell you we are on the wrong track because of abortion and they will all vote for Bush."

Yep I have thought that for a long time. I would agree that the country is going in the wrong direction in many areas, but that isn't because of President Bush it is in spite of him. I blame the left for the wrong direction and the vicious tone.

You're so very, very right! The smarmy MSM think that this means that everyone wants us to get more, um "progressive" as these aholes put it. But in so many cases, it is just that people want even more conservatim. Same with the President's approval numbers!!!

I believe one of the "Fox All-Stars" on the Brit Hume program said the other day that when Bill Clinton was re-elected by 8 points in 1996, the right track number was something like 38%. So, you are correct -- it is a meaningless number!
