45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.
I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!
What did the other channels say right after the debate (I caught some of Fox, but got a phone call)?
More like that just got run over look.
You got the Kerry highlights.....oops.....actually Kerry lowpoints!
"I think Savage may drink WAY too much for his own good."
I agree.
How is he trying to appeal to these days?
How long until he gets back to being semi reasonable again? I respect him and I agree with a lot of what he says (especially about calling terrorists what they really are-murdering soulless low lifes), but he is getting quite scary. I can only handle listening to him for 5 minutes or less for the past couple months.
That's what I started thinking too. But as the debate went on something started to happen. Kerry began to look more and more like a robot. He promised everything. He had all the answers. It got kind of irritating. Meanwhile Bush was...real. There's no other way to describe it except that here was a person who wasn't phony, who wasn't trying to show off to get votes. His answer about his wife and kids really clinched it. Bush expressed great love...actually said that he loved his wife and daughters immensely. Meanwhile Kerry tells a story about his dying mother waving a finger at him and saying "Integrity, Integrity, integrity". That was so stupid and sad if true. Not once did Kerry mention that he loved his wife or kids. Sad.
"I have to tell everyone, the Evangelical vote will be enormous this time around...They are motivated...They clearly understand what is at stake and they have been out motivating this base for months now. I can tell you that churches around the nation have been getting out the vote far sooner than the left has."
I hope you're right about this...it's an enormous voting block.
There were more watching the first debate but not by much. I'm not watching all of them because I know who I'm voting for.
That is so sweet...thank you!!!
I have a couple of Forbes cousins by marriage. They are just ordinary people. I haven't see any of them in years, but I would imagine that they probably regard kerry's antics with very little enthusiasm.
Some earlier posts suggested that kerry went to the best schools but was not especially popular with his classmates. He has a habit of self regard and of stepping on other people in his climb to the top. Proper Bostonians aren't likely to admire that sort of behavior.
RE: Terraayyyzzaa and Kerry's (lack of) expression of love for her and her/his family . . .
Did you notice the Bush family hug after the debate? Sooooo sweet. Did you also notice how fast they left after the debate??? I think George and Laura had something "better" to do. :-) True love, and TRUE family . . .
The pre-11PM EDT coverage they were hollaring behind him
All the women here know exactly what that "look" meant....>:-)
I hate it when people keep bringing up 2008, lets put President Bush in for four more years and worry about
2008 after the election.
Impressive....closer than the last one even.
I'm sure you didn't mean any disrespect, but Rudy is NOT a worthless RINO. Do you think Strom Thurmond could get elected mayor of NYC? No. Grow up (and by that I DO mean disrespect because you're a moron).
Terry McAuliffe is such an asshole. He's on HAnnity & Colmes getting stroked by Colmes. Those two are making me sick.
---Mort continuing: Kerry mentioned the vice president's lesbian daughter and Edwards did too. I think it's dirty pool and a way to out Cheney's daugher with the religious right.---
And Mary Beth Cahill went on to say that Cheney's daughter's sexuality was fair game! That's going to hurt them!
For the life of me I cannot figure out why Edwards and Cheney keep mentioning Cheney's gay daughter. Do they honestly think that this will make the religious right re-think their Bush vote?
A friend of mine is a gay HIV+ New Yorker who ALWAYS votes Democrat, and he is voting for Bush--he says Kerry is jsut too clueless and wishy-washy. Not all gays vote on "gay" issues, and this guy just cannot vote for Kerry, his rote babbling of the Gay Party Line isn't helping him in at least this one instance.
my concern is for those that don't watch but do vote (on election day) - This number is surprisingly large - that is scary all by itself.
