I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

So Kerry uses a supposed hunting story from last year (when the ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN WAS IN FULL EFFECT) from a sherriff in Idaho (was that the state?) who said that they had done a drug bust in "that house over there" where they perp had an AK-47 on the bed next to him. Kerry implied that this was because Bush didn't re-authorize the ban.

First of all - the supposed story happened with the BAN IN PLACE - so how would the recent expiration have made any difference if it had been renewed?

Second, how is it Bush's job to reauthorize the ban? Isn't that the job of congress (as Un-constitutional as it is). Kind of hard for GW to sign a bill when Congress doesn't pass it.

Bush: I have met with BCC at white house. No quotas. need aggressive effort for educate and pell grants. I care, and I prove it by how much money we puke out on programs. I spend money on SB loans. Minority business owners are up.

Kerry: No, we have not moved far enough long. Mend it Don't end it program during the Clinton years. Kerry mentions that GWB has not meet with the NAACP, the Black Congressional Congress.

GWB: We spend $73 million dollars for low income people. Small business loans. Contracts. Ownership (home ownership).
