Zogby poll compares candidate to Wizard of Oz
Right Side Redux ^ | 10/11/04 | Justin Hart

Zogby has been doing a fair amount of polling over the Internet. This mornings poll asks the usual questions for presidential polling and then throws in this gem:

"Who would you more likely vote for president - the Tin Man who is all brains and no heart or the Scarecrow who is heart and no brain?"

Which candidate is which.

Certainly something for the "Anybody but Bush" crowd to consider.

John Kerry has clarified the position that I always knew he held. He wants to live in a 9-10-2001 world and forget 9-11.

He ends the war on terror with the capture of Osama Bin Laden. Terrorist regimes will be permitted to stand. Saddam Hussein's funding of Hamas terrorist homicide bombers' was not a big enough "threat". That he was clearly trying to obtain weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, biological) and had USED weapons of mass destruction (chemical and biological) in the past was of no concern. Hell, we don't need to arrest people for attempting to hire a hitman or violating parole by trying to buy a firearm. Wait until they kill someone and THEN prosecute them; but don't give them the death penalty because that would be wro-o-o-n-ng.

Treat the Zogby polls for what they are worth. The last time I told him I was a Democrat who will now vote for Bush after watching the VP debate. I only signed up on his site for the polls to play with them. One time I told him I was Hispanic and he sent me a poll for Hispanics. Another time I told him I owned a small business and he sent me a zillion questions, all aimed to make Bush look bad, about small businesses. My husband also gets the polls and is worse than I am about fudging with the truth. I hope Zogby goes out of business. He keeps trying to get me to pay for his polling results. Hell will freeze over before I give this Bush-hater a cent.

I took the poll 2 days ago. It did ask ask that stupid question about the tin man etc., but there wasn't a questions that asked which was who.

Can we have a poll question that compares pollsters to Wizard of Oz characters? Zogby is in his last cycle as a pollster IMHO.

"Who would you vote for --
The flying monkey with good
posture, or the slump?"

The slumped monkey, Harry Montel, seems to have more character. Do these flying monkeys represent Terry McCauliffe and Joe Lockhart?

The real picture should be of OZ standing behind the curtain. It was all fake.

The media interprets glibness with intellect. I'll take HONESTY any day. both clintons, kerry, edwards and the like can talk all day, say nothing of value, and most of what they do say is LIES, yet to the media, that is what they want to hear. Quite possibly because that is what they do, talk all day, say nothing of value, but spew LIES.

Bush on the other hand, speaks as MOST AMERICANS speak. Plain, Simple, Down to Earth and HONEST. That is what the media calls Ignorant. NO ONE is suppose to talk so the average person KNOWS what they are saying and can tell so quickly if it is the TRUTH or a LIE.

If we dump a bucket of cold water on sKerry - will he melt into a blob of ketchup on the floor, while shrieking "I have a plan, I have a plan, no no".

I'll take the guy behind the curtain. OK, sure, so he got caught. But he had a pretty good racket going. That's gotta count for something.
