Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.
I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:
"I swore listening on the radio that Kerry knew the question before it was going to be asked"
I was also thinking that Kerry seemed so unusually prepared!! It crossed my mind several times that he seemed just a bit too "prepped". I also noticed that he took something out of his jacket at the very beginning and thought that quite unusual considering the emphasis on the strict rules, but didn't think much of it until Drudge showed the pictures on his site. Dollars to donuts that Rush will bring it up on Monday. I'll be listening for this one!
Kerry/Soros trembles.
Excerpted from In DC Journal:
John Kerry brought prohibited material into last Thursday's Presidential Debate. From section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" (pdf file) that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns:
(c) No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.
... (d) Notwithstanding subparagraph 5(c), the candidates may take notes during the debate on the size, color and type of paper each side prefers. Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium, table or other structure to be used by the candidate in that debate.

Kerry Caught Cheating in First Debate!
The one Fox showed was just after the handshake when Kerry took his place behind the podium. There was just one quick movement to remove something from his jacket and slip it into the podium at that time. That's all I saw.
Perhaps THIS is what 'distracted' W; did he KNOW that Effin was cheating, but said nothing?
Looks big enough to be one of those new phones where text can flash across the screen.
I guess he could have had a connection to staff that way during the debate.
>>VO: Remember the Debates?
VO: Before the debates President Bush was visiting Hurricane victims
VO: Kerry? He was getting a manicure
Then some finish like VO: Leadership comes before a manicure.
I'm from Florida and I love your suggestion! President Bush and Jeb have been great during this horrible time down here and it is irritating that Kerry took time to relax when he could have taken some of that time to view the damage and act like he cared.
His Blackberry isn't going to help him all that much.
Oh, and by the way, he has too much gravitas.
He will lose hard, in November, partly due to my vote.
Also, I noticed at the beginning, Kerry really got up close to GW/s face, violating GW's personal space. This is something that really annoys me when it happens to me. Its intimidating. But I have noticed, Kerry does it with John Edwards and many people he greets and it appears he is about to kiss them. Weird...
Florida is tired now after the stress has started to wane and Kerry's been "over here" meandering for votes. He's orange again but he wasn't orange for the debate.
It's not at all much ado about nothing.
One of the agreed-upon rules of the debate was that nothing, including paper, was to be brought in by either candidate.
Kerry clearly took something out of his pocket, and laid it on his podium.
If he had the questions and his responses on the cards that he appears to be taking out of his jacket at the beginning of the debates, he would have had to take them back off with him.
Granted, there isn't much anyone can do if he cheated, but it goes against his character if he is caught cheating.
That's the issue.
Then I can fearlessly swear, with one hand on the Bible and the other raised to God in Heaven, that I witnessed John Kerry cheating during the first debate.
The PAJAMAHADEN strike again ;)
And the Communist press remains quiet. Bastards. [We will NOT forget their treachery]
He's keeping his right arm pretty close to his body too until he gets the paper (cards) out.
I'm thinking that it was a piece of paper or note card on which he had the talking points (which were leaked to him from Jim Lehrer.)
I was suspiscious the night of the debate. Kerry had far TOO musch to say about far TOO MANY subjects.
The ???????? were leaked to him.
