Kerry has been given the opening by the structure of the questions. Have faith. Kerry got the opening, but President Bush gets the closing statement.

I am not nuts. Bush looks way too shaky. I am listening on the radio and it's painful (at times) for me to listen to. Bush needs to land one good, memorable and lasting punch on Kerry before the debate is done. Right now it sounds like Holmes vs. Cooney through my ears.

It's just my opinion, guys, that's all. I just think that two debates would have been much better right now.....

I don't want to see another Kerry vs. Bush debate myself. We are a partisan board and believe Bush is right; but if I were a wishy-washy swing voter right now, I'd leave this debate a Kerry voter.

There is still time left. Bush has got to land a big hay-maker.

Kerry sure has memorized MM film. It's a sight to see when a serious candidate will stand there and just outright lie and make things up. All I can say is WOW.

"What I won't do I won't do is change my core values under political...pressure" - Bush.

"I have never changed my core values." - Kerry

I have read both books by Robert Graves on the reign of Claudius.

The PBS series based on the books were pretty good viewing as well.

There he said it....you can't change your core values under pressure.

Now either the American people believe that or they don't.

It's up to them.

They can believe the liar or they can believe the President who they've seen in action for the past 4 years.

There are so many things the President hasn't brought up about this bloviators voting record.

Overall, I think President Bush is doing fine. Anybody with a brain in their head should realize that skerry is the ultimate flipper flopper!!! lol

Kerry is not constrained by facts nor ethics. Bush is fixed on a specific strategy that leaves Kerry free to criticize from any angle, the truth not being a factor.

A stable democracy is dependent on a discerning electorate that should throw a prevaricating fraud like Kerry out on his ear. And it is unnerving to see the smooth spillage of lies out of Kerry's mouth - and I wonder about the effect on the barely cognizant swing voter.

President Bush is not giving clear answers.
He could have noted that North Korea is using the fuel Clinton gave them to make nukes.
President Bush could have noted that our options in NK were limited to negotiations because South Korea would not fight and China was protecting NK!
Was Kerry suggesting that we go to war with China?

I think that Kerry is slaughtering Bush on Iraq.

I'm surprised Bush hasn't brought out his six gun and watch the smoke go up in the air.

"W may be ahead on substance but sKerry is winning on command presence, and given the superficiality of the general voting public....."

I think the general voting public knows a slick lawyer when they see one.

President Bush comes off as honest, sincere. Kerry comes off as a politician. People trust honesty, not politicians.

Neither side has kicked the others' butts. Both have basically punched their way to a draw, so far. Kerry looks slightly the more commanding, according to some online debate scoring sites, but again, Bush only needs to not lose badly to basically win it.

Yes, being willing to lie about anything and everything might be an advantage at the time. But it won't hold up.
