Oh, come on. He probably had a Vari-typewriter, which was used for laying out ad copy. My friend's mom brought one home and we got to mess around with it. Did you and any of the others on this thread hear the call Monica Crowley received from Ben Barnes' daughter? She said that her father is a political opportunist, is writing a book and that he had told her a couple of months ago that he was going to be doing this. She said he's doing this for political reasons and had denied to her in 2000 that he had helped Bush into the ANG. They've verified that it is Barnes' daughter Amy. This is devastating.

Howlin, you seem to be the acknowledged expert on this. Before we get all the way down the "docs are forged" road, I have one question - what happens to a doc when it is scanned into a pdf file? I've had several occasions, in my job, where docs were scanned into my system and them modified and edited - I assume that, in that process, the typeface and formatting became something that is compatible with Adobe. If we were looking at jpeg or gif files, everything that is being said makes perfect sense. But pdf files are not merely "pictures."

I don't wanna see everybody jumping on that bandwagon, only to have the wheels fall off.

The "throb" is due to the fact the forgeries were faxed, probably to hide the fact the signature was scanned.

Faxes ALWAYS slightly change the scale of the image, usually reducing it slightly

Sure you could roll the carriage a tad, but it would not give you the smaller th that is on these memos. It doesn't change the size of the font.
