The pounding Kerry has been taking from the Swift Boat Veterans over his Vietnam record, and his concomitant poll plunge, is literally driving his liberal supporters crazy.
The evidence was at hand on last evening's Fox Media Watch (the rebroadcast of which I'm watching this morning at 6:30-7 AM EDT).
In all my years of watching the show, I cannot recall the resident liberals - Jane Hall (a woman of a certain age), and the small-but-perfeectly formed Neal Gabler - so absolutely beside themselves.
So frenzied was Gabler that you almost imagined the men in white suits would have to make an appearance before Gabler hurt someone or himself. He was apoplectic at the notion that the panel was discussing the merits of the issue at all, declaring that this just played into Karl Rove's diabolical plot. He simply wanted to declare that the allegations were false, a fraud, etc. and would brook no debate.
Biting the Fox paw that feeds her, Jane Hall blamed "the cable news networks" for perpetuating the story. Both the libs agreed that it was wrong of the media to present both sides of the story, since in their view there is only one side - all the Swift Boat Vets for Truth are lying.
When Cal Thomas attempted to cite the statement by William L. Schachte Jr., a retired rear admiral, to the effect that he was on the same small boat as Kerry but did not witness any enemy fire during the event for which Kerry received his first Purple Heart, Gabler totally lost it. He screamed and cut Cal off, determined that there would be no more discussion of the issue.
Never have I seen the libs in such blind panic and fury. They know that Kerry's lies about his record have come home to roost and will ultimately cost him the election. It was glorious!
Jerry said he was neither lib or cons, it depended on the issue.
Walk behind a liberal you know and whisper "Swift Boats" then duck.
"Is there any possible way they can put Hillary on the ballot? What are your thoughts Freepers?"
It won't be Hillary. Edwards will be put on top of the ticket, and he'll pick a new VP. They'll put him in as "the candidate with no negatives" just a few days before the election, so that it'll be a guy who's been getting pummeled on for 4 years straight by a hostile media against a guy who's had no media (old or new) scrutiny at all.

My, My, My! What their own farenheit 9/11 has wrought. They have gone from their usual smugness into deep despair. Could it be that the heat from Michael Moore's propaganda is causing their meltdown?

That's it! Kerry will have a ralapse of cancer and withdraw witihin a week of the election. Because most ballots are printed and absentees have already voted the 'rats will flood the Courts with suits to postpone the elcction for a few months "to be fair".
I know - I found my self yelling at Jane - before I turned it off - that in this country we - not even the press - don't just get to issue fiats of guilt or innocence but are expected to at least look into the charges. Lib media is not only nuts (libs) but lazy besides.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one losing it over that show. I am SO sick of these people lionizing the handful of vets who appear with Kerry at rallies while arrogantly dismissing the views of 264 decorated veterans with no examination of the merits of their charges at all.
MSM is going down with Kerry - expect them to get even shriller and more irrational.

Arthur: (tiring of this) What're you going to do, bleed on me?

Black Knight: The Black Knight ALWAYS TRIUMPHS! Have at you!!
(hopping around, trying to kick Arthur with his one remaining leg)
Arthur shrugs his shoulders and, with a mighty swing, removes the Black Knight's last limb. The Knight falls to the ground. He looks about, realizing he can't move.
Black Knight: Okay, we'll call it a draw.
Arthur: Come, Pasty! (they "ride" away)
Black Knight: (calling after them) Oh! Had enough, eh? Come back and take what's coming to you, you yellow bastards!! Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!
"Free speech" to a lib means nothing more than "agree with ME or you're a lying dog that needs to be silenced".

Gabler was literally foaming at the mouth.
There was no way Cal could be heard above Gabler's hysterics and then Eric cut them both off.
Cal will bring Admiral Schachte up again in the future, we can count on him. ;-)
It is remarkable, almost like a Chinese finger trap, where rather than giving in and letting the point stand, they keep resisting, and resisting, and get sucked further in!
Whoa! Do you have a link to that, or know approximately when he made that statement? This all just keeps getting better and better.
Now, I agree with you that the Dem internals are probably dismal, but the interesting thing is that the MEDIA thinks it is "helping" the Dems by DENYING the story and by continually pulling out more vets to "discredit" the Swifties.
All of that is irrelevant: MERELY BY ANSWERING THE CHARGES the media has destroyed Kerry's sole grounds for claiming that he can defend this country. It has eroded the ONLY advantage he ever had, and, remarkably, it has also completely undone the two-year campaign of "Bush Lied" by in essence (their words, not mine) saying "Kerry Lied Too, So What?" This is the natural result of an arrogant media combined with an arrogant candidate. A less arrogant candidate would have immediately apologized, admitted, and moved on and we would be talking about health care and Iraq.
When cats start screeching, an earthquake is coming. When libs start screeching, a landslide is coming.

Here is John Kerry on ABC saying he wanted American boots on the ground to force regime change. This was during Clinton's term and pre-9/11.
If the GOP doesn't use these quotes during the convention I will personally stroke out.
