find it extremely interesting, John Kerry is referred to as a "war hero" for 4 months of service in Vietnam, yet the 260 +/- vets who served longer are being portrayed as crackpots, right-wing lunatics, Republican shills, etc., etcSuch is the state of our Socialist loving, Democrat asskissing MSM. They have journeyed so far LEFT they make the 60's seem like the 50's!

Good synopsis!
John O'Neill also got in a little zinger to the charge that he has been after Kerry for 35 years, when he told Steffi that his children did not even know that he had ever debated Kerry, until it was shown on CSPAN this year."It certainly has not consumed my life, George," spoke O'Neill.

>>Has anyone heard from McCain about him being in the Kerry ads? I wonder what his office is saying...<<
I don't know where Mccain is, but I e-mailed him,and asked him how he can let Kerry campaign slam his fellow POW's. suggested to him that if he truely is a supporter of President Bush that now is the time to step up and support his fellow Viet Nam Vets.
I suggest you all do the same.

I just finished watching the ABC show with Stephie for the first time in two years. I really cannot stomach Stephanopolus (sp).
I watched to see O'Neill. It was great! To my utter amazement I thought Stephie was pretty fair. O'Neill kicked Podesta's butt. My first thought was why Podesta would be chosen to go out and debate. It reeked of weakness on the democrats part. He was all they could dredge up to defend Kerry. Could they not find one Vet involved that would debate for Kerry? Podesta wasn't there and it was obvious he wasn't. All that Podesta brought to the table was George Bush served in the National Guard. That seemed to be the answer for every question.
O'Neill is just too credible for the opposition. The "Sellout" ad will be devastating to Kerry campaign. Podesta could just stammer "Bush was in the National Guard" all the while Kerry's own words were being used against him.

At the end of WWII as Europe begin to give up colonies in Asia and Africa, Ho Chi Minh approached America for assistance in removing the French from French Indo-China (Vietnam). The Americans refused because of alliances with the French. When America refused, he went to the Soviets who did so, gladly. Now, is that a "Liberal" myth or is it basically correct?
That is my understanding. (Again-the word 'French' rears its ugly head!)
I always believed our involvement in Vietnam-to prevent the communists from complete take-over-was justified. And I always believed it was Kennedy's and Johnson's war--but somehow-the hippie, anti-war kerry's of this world managed to screw Nixon and label the war as his. Our press has so crushed the truth for so long, in order to re-write our history and push their liberal agenda.
They used the word 'quagmire' to describe the Iraqi war (once again, ala kerry, to destroy the moral of our nation and worse, our courageous troops over there) and referred to the Vietnam War, hoping America will always see that as a republican led war, as well.
The network press corp is my enemy.

Podesta says whether they were 5 miles inside Cambodia or 50 miles away it doesn't matter, they took enemy fire that day. and he's stuttering. hee hee Hee, hee. Kerry even says much later in his tour of duty that he had not been under fire. Podesta the fatuous liar.

Podesta says whether they were 5 miles inside Cambodia or 50 miles away it doesn't matter, they took enemy fire that day. and he's stuttering.
That is the shell game they are trying to play now. However, it does make a difference.
The purpose of the Christmas in Cambodia story in 1971 was to accuse Nixon of secretly putting troops in Cambodia.
Any change to the story (that Kerry repeated some 50 times over on the record over the next 30 years) exposes the lie(s).
If Kerry was actually 50 miles away or 5 miles away, he can't say troops were in Cambodia == thus his Congressional testimony saying the troops were in Cambodia is a lie.
If Kerry sticks with the story, Nixon wasn't sworn in == thus the story (repeated some 50 times) is a lie.
Kerry's latest story (after nearly a dozen previous versions and renditions) is that he was on a secret mission for/with the CIA --- and can't talk about it. How convenient is that???
No matter how they spin this, it makes part of the story (any version, any rendition) partially a lie. And it shows Kerry has been, and continues to be, nothing more than a political opportunist.
Hey, John, let's talk about your 19 year Senate tenure and your great accomplishments there.

Many years ago my mom taught me a little song that was probably popular back in the 20's or 30's. I think it might be appropriate to post the lyrics here, see if some of you creative minds can do something with it.
Oh we had a little party down in Newport
There was Harry, There was Kerry, There was Kate
We got a little loaded down in Newport
And we had to carry Kerry to the gate.
We had to carry Kerry to the Ferry.
We had to carry Kerry to the shore.
The reason that we had to carry Kerry,
Was that Kerry couldn't carry anymore.

O'Neill cleaned Podesta's clock. Georgie did a good job in asking the right questions and keepting them on point, except Posesta was more interested in spewing out the Dem talking points than addressing the questions. It was obvious why. He couldn't respond with any facts.
It was interesting how the Dems respond to Kerry's senate testimony, i.e., he was just talking about what was found at the Winter Soldiers' investigation. Baloney. Kerry has not retracted his statements about atrocities being part of our general policy and the fact that he personally committed them.

"Podesta says there's no evidence Dr. Levson treated him."
You would think that they would stay away from this, it is so weak. Letson was the only MD at Cam Rhan Bay where these guys were treated. The guy who signed the medical report was an assistant, not a doctor, and he was charged with filling out paperwork. This has all been clear for a long time and is utterly credible. Yet they keep relying on this.

Dem oppo research came up with the fact that one of the POWs appearing in Ad #2 was also being listed as an advisor to veterans on a Bush/Cheney website very quickly.
Yet they cannot find any connections between themselves and the vicious anti-Bush 527s!

"O'Neill cleaned Podesta's clock."
That was one for the books. Watching Podesta sputter, try to redirect the debate and seeing O'Neill just keep to the subject. Podesta tried but couldn't derail the train of thought. Podesta didn't look too happy.
I gained a lot of respect for O'Neill, he is one strong debater. Message to the Kerry camp, don't send out lawyers and hit men, get someone who was there and knows the facts to debate or stay off the TV shows.
