Did I hear this right on NBC News ? The Kerry people have "threatened " Bush that if he does not denounce the Swiftvets ads , that "everything" would be on the table ? ( Meaning they would start to attack Bushs military record )

You are known by the company you keep and if a politician, by the people who want to put you into office.

In this case, it's the French, Chinese, Islamic Terrorists, Hollywood, Yassar Arrafat and the PLO and a whole host of sleeping communists and socialists in the United States wanting to make John Kerry the President.

Very well put! If the MSM treated the Bush "AWOL" story in the same way they've treated the Kerry/Swiftboat story, they would have investigated, and destroyed Terry McAulliffe.

"The Swift Vets have derailed his campaign with a couple of hundred thousand dollars."

Sweet, isn't it?

"The Swift Vets had only their stories and a little money."

And the truth.

"They can always dredge up that old DU.com chestnut, about W being behind Wellstone's death."

Nah, it'd be more their style to sacrifice another lamb RAT and blame W for it.

Good. Bring it on. There will be a lot more out there on Skerry. Especially the child killing and the village burning.

"The clerk informed her that B&N had "RECALLED" all the Unfit for Command books -- claiming that "we won't carry a book that is full of so many lies".

So I guess this means that they've pulled all the Clinton books and thousands of Bush bashing books. How ever will they fill their shelves? < /sarcasm >

Democrats and Republicans alike should be frightened at and moved to action against the censorship and fascism of Barnes & Noble Inc. I was under the impression that we did our voting in our election booths, not in our bookstores.

Longhaired-hippie-think-they're-interlexuals managing these bookstore chains over order these liberal books, and they can't sell them. So they got this huge inventory of worthless books so they put them out front just hoping that some poor fool will pick them up. Eventually they have to ship them back. And they try to hide the conservative ones. They just don't realize that liberalism doesn't sell any more. They're living in an old world liberal book-selling busisness paradigm. Amazon.com is killing them. It isn't a grand conspiracy. Pity them.

No way does kerry or any of his minions want to tangle with President Bush.

If kerry is that foolish, teresa won't ask john what happened, she will only ask him ,"How did you get loose?"

"My guess is that the F-102A accident rate was higher than the combat loss rate for some other a/c types."

Right on...I believe they were called "Widow Makers" apparently very twitchy to fly.

Could be the F-102A's were off loaded to other allies , NATO for example....so there would be records of accident / fatality rates.

Anyway...Dubyas job saw to intercept and shoot down Soviet bombers in the event of a nuclear war...not a high-survivability occupation.

"The debates are going to be a hoot to watch."

Debates? Is that what you call when one side just points the finger and says, "he started it," "why doesn't he answer for ( fill in the blank )...." and then puts his fingers in his ears a shouts, "I can't hear you?"

.

"I often wonder how many POW's, that the last words they heard were recordings of Kerry calling them war criminals from the floor of the us senate... just before their captors shot them in the head."

Bears repeating for the sheeple

You have to remember that a large fraction of the voting population is too young to remember this stuff.

And the "history" that they have been taught in public schools is questionable, to say the least. However, they HAVE been taught to "QUESTION AUTHORITY." To them, this is the essence of "critical thinking," and it never occurs to them that critical thinking can be used to SUPPORT the actions of authority, indeed, the very existence of and need for legitimate and legal authority. Do these younger people EVER dare to question and rebel against the authority of those who "question authority" (namely, the oh-so-perennially-enlightened "progressives" whose IQs are oh-so-ABOVE-average)? [sarcasm]. Methinks that in the case of "progressives" IQ translates into IDIOCY quotient - a one point drop for each step further to the left. After all, it DOES take a village to raise an IDIOT.

This is why we need to make free speech forums such as Free Republic even stronger and more visible and assertive!

Well, let's see. Once you've called a guy a drunken, draft dodging, National Guard-deserting Hitler who lied to the whole country to get us into a war so our soldiers could die for Halliburton to sell more oil drilling equipment, what's left?

He snores.

And why not? It's worked so well in the past.
