In Rush's closing segment he said that he just received a story or document saying that lawyers for both the Kerry and Edwards teams were sending out letters to TV stations warning them about showing the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth advertisement!

The letter has a section about the doctor who signed Kerry's sick call sheet. Have we seen the dork's medical records?

No, Rush towards the last 2 minutes of his show had just been handed a piece of paper from a law firm in Washington for Kerry and the DNC itself stating that the Swift Boat ads were untrue and the veterans in the ads were frauds. Rush went on to state that the "lawyers" were asking the media not to carry these ads or run them.

Seems to me that the Kerry Campaign and the DNC just stepped hip deep into a Bamboo Spike Pit.
Sending out written communication like that sure opens one up to a Major Civil Lawsuit against them by the Vets.
I bet the idiots are Dummies.com didn't think about that before letting Edwards send off the threatening letter.
Hehehehe John F'nn Kerry under discovery? I bet those Medical records of his Purple Hearts are gonna set off a real firestorm when they hit the press. :)

Truth, the contribution link worked for me last night. Is it possible you have a setting in your browser (ex: Internet Explorer) that is controlling some requirement on security certificates?
Also, there is a mailing address at the site if you want to mail them a check. Keep trying, this is a worthy cause.

Are they going to try and suppress the book as well? That I'd like to see!

Forgive my ignorance but how does one do a "Denial of Service attack"? Just have people jam up the website? In a typical internet connection, a user sends a message asking the server to authenticate it. The server returns the authentication approval to the user. The user acknowledges this approval and then is allowed onto the server.
In a denial of service attack, the user sends several authentication requests to the server, filling it up. All requests have false return addresses, so the server can't find the user when it tries to send the authentication approval. The server waits, sometimes more than a minute, before closing the connection. When it does close the connection, the attacker sends a new batch of forged requests, and the process begins again--tying up the service indefinitely.

Bumping your post about Michael Moore, etc. Hope John/John gets what's coming to them for this, especially in light of Moron Moore's ballyhoos.

"They Have No Brains in Lib America"
Sung to It Never Rains in California
Got on board a custom 757,
Kerry Edwards painted on the side for you,
All that talk about lib people, that the libs are sheeple.
It's true, man it's true.
Seems they have no brains in lib'ral America,
Seems that they're all dumber than an f'n door.
They have no brains in Lib America, nor does my Tehrayza,
What's more, I'm a bore.
I got the nod, the DNC said,
I've got no class, I've never led.
I'm so outclassed, I'm so inbred, I'm gonna get stomped.
They have no brains in Lib America, nor does my Tehrayza,
What's more, I'm a bore.
Need to tell the folks Bush lied and I'm a Hero,
I've flip flopped so long I don't know what's true>
I'll pay some lackies to surround me,
Some lackies to surround me.
I'm through, I'm so through.
Seems they have no brains in lib'ral America,
Seems that they're all dumber than an f'n door.
They have no brains in Lib America, nor does my Tehrayza,
What's more, I'm a bore.

hey I wonder if they used the same tactics to hush up the Sandy Berger story
To: RogerWilko
Well, all Kerry has to run on is his fake war hero record. Once this is exposed for a fraud, he's worse than toast, and at some point soon his pals the press will have to talk about it. Plus his poll numbers are plummeting. They're drinking koolaid over there at Kerry headquarters. All he can do is attack Bush, smear him and his former 'band of brothers' who are now telling what really went on in that Swift boat.

P.S. As another Frepers surmised, it is also a way to give cover to liberal station managers a reason for denying their request to buy ad time.

Looks like I may need to tune in on the alphabet networks tonight. Good thing is they only broadcast news for the first 5-8 minutes (so I don't have to watch a 30 minute broadcast).
I don't watch ABCBSNBCNN... to learn what happened in a day anymore, I just tune in on rare occassions to see how they present the news. CBS should provide the most laughs and stilted coverage (when Berger got busted with stolen documents, it was spun as a story about him stepping down from the Kerry Campaign as a result of a leak by Republicans).
