I just think they extended it longer than usual
I've been trumpeting a similar thing for the last several weeks to my not-hopeless-liberal acquaintances. I'm going to go a bit further than Tator, though, and say that President Bush, in the end, will have a ten point edge on sKerry. Nader will gain several points tonight that he will not lose. Kerry will gain a bit on Bush tonight, but that will evaporate. The economy and Iraq will work well as issues for the President, and now that their big convention is over, the other stuff will really start to settle in against the Demodogs: including Berger, Wilson, "the 16 words", the hatefulness campaign, the inevitable triumphs in the WoT like the terrorist capture in Pakistan, and even the TeleKerry bunny suit photos.

Jimmy Kimmel played a clip from a song played at the convention tonight. Part of the lyrics were "a midget standing tall". Kimmel played it again and suggested the DNC screen their lyrics.
P.S. After all, one can only spend so much time talking about your feelings without actually experiencing any. ;)

It is memorable that his years and years of service in 'Nam, where time and again he saved the lives of his crew and fellow soldiers, have shaped him into the leader that he hopes to be!

Considering that Kerry was a point or two ahead going into this week, a three or four point bounce is hardly anything to lose sleep over. Granted, the numbers may move after tonight.

And another thing. The Democrats are going to have to hide Ter-e-sa. She is a HUGE negative for them. Joe Sixpack is going to be turned off to the billionaire Eurotrash heiress who speaks 5 languages fluently, but has a thick accent. Not to mention, she's a weirdo. Yet, it won't matter how much they sit on her, because W is going to have Laura Bush front and center, and the absence of Zsa-Zsa will be obvious. Advantage Bush!
One of Kerry's commanding officers turned him down for one of his purple hearts. Others said there had been no combat. It supposedly looked like the kind of wound you'd get if you shot into a rock and got hit by a flying fragment. That CO moved on and Kerry asked the replacement for the purple heart. He got it.
The silver star was "earned" by beaching the swift boat (against regulations) and drilling an unarmed, wounded enemy in the head. The silver star was recommended by the ranking officer, Lt. John F. Kerry, on behalf of himself. It's legal though.
