Reminds me of my Grandfather going around the village saying he was getting a "two seater"

Edwards is not impressive one iota. Sheesh! Friend emailed me today saying the camera crews are setting up in Carthage, NC to interview people about Edwards. She indicated that people in that area really don't like Edwards. But that won't be what the camera will be showing.

I spent my Independence Day weekend suffering with the pain of a kidney stone

Kidney stones hurt more than childbirth does...

Received this email from a satirist. Heard of Dr. Sidney Wallace?

In just a few minutes, I will announce that Senator John Edwards will join me as my running-mate on the Democratic ticket as a candidate for vice president of the United States. Teresa and I could not be more excited that John and Elizabeth Edwards will be our partners in our journey to fleece the wealthy Americans earning over $24,000 that are too dumb to know better.

I want you to know why I'm currently excited about running for president with John Edwards by my side. John understands and defends the values of America's lawyers. He has shown courage, and tenacity when collecting from even the smallest personal injury case. In the Senate, he worked to reform our intelligence, to combat bioterrorism, and keep our military strong. In this respect he will balance my position on trying to eliminate the armed forces.

Like John McCabe, (my first choice) John reaches across party lines and speaks to the heart of America -- hope and optimism. Again he adds balance to my despair and pessimism campaign.

Throughout his own weak campaign for President, John spoke about the great divide in this country -- the "Two Americas" -- that exists between those who are doing well today and those who are struggling to make it from day to day. I am so proud that we're going to build one America together on the backs of those rich individuals earning excessive incomes over $24,000 each year.

In the next 120 days and in the administration that follows, John Edwards and I will be fighting for the America we love. An America were "everyone knows his place" and a nations that is grounded on what we think is best for them.

We'll be fighting to give the middle class a voice by providing good paying jobs and affordable health care. Hillary is onboard and has promised that she will design a fool proof system so complex that everyone will just give up and accept it this time.

We'll be fighting to make America energy independent. To that end we will be utilizing more natural gas to power our industrial engine. After all the Congress alone can generate more natural gas than all of George Bush's friends put together.

We'll be fighting to reduce our military and following the European (France, Germany and Switzerland) lead we will negotiate our way through troubled waters.

I can't tell you how proud I am to currently have John Edwards on my team, or how eager I am for the day this fall when he stands up for our vision and goes toe-to-toe with Dick Cheney. His training and skills of stretching the truth in front of a jury will cause old fact based Cheney to cower in the corner.

As has been said many times before, this is the most important election of our lifetime, and a defining moment in our history. With you by our side every day of this campaign, John and I will lead the most spirited presidential campaign boondoggle America has ever seen. Even though we will fight to lead our nation in a new and better direction I will probably not accept any purple hearts this time.

Thank you,

John Kerry

This is great. All Kerry could do during the primaries was bitch about how inexperienced and incompetent Edwards was, now he's suddenly Kerry's running mate. That's real swift.

I'm not sure why I neglected my main reason for optimism in my previous post. It's the most important factor in this election......

God's faithfulness.

HIS servant is in the White House, and HIS people are praying.

Gentlemen, did either of you vote for Lautenberg instead of Toricelli? Did either of you vote for Mondale over Wellstone?

Edwards is basking in his quarter-hour of fame, but let's just see how fast he plummets - or do you forget Dean's implosion?

Anything can happen, right up to the convention, or right up to November 2nd. And if nothing else, She Who Must Not Be Named is an opportunist of the first order. If there's a chance, She will exploit it. Or create it.

Neither Howlin or I is a man and neither of us live in Jersey.Frankly,it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for either us LADIES to have voted for Lousenberg or Monfale, since we live in other states.

Edwards isn't Dean, but yes,he is having fun today, which shall change come September.

Repeat after me....HILLARY IS NOT RUNNING THIS YEAR,HILLARY IS NOT RUNNING THIS YEAR,HILLARY IS NOT RUNNING THIS YEAR AND NO,SHE IS NOT GOING TO PULL OFF AN ARMED COUP.

And you're right too. I hate to give ground to the *&^$$holes, but when it is an issue of whether we win or not, I move to realpolitik. But, it's hard to argue with your take on it--I struggle with this when it comes up.

You can tell Edwards is a trial lawyer. Check out his jawbone to prove it.

It looks more like an engagement picture than a photo op.

"Does anyone know here how precedented this is? Meaning, how often a veep candidate was an opponent during that party's primary? I don't -think- it's happened in my lifetime."

I don't know how long you have been old enough to vote, but, Gore was Clinton's opponent in 1992, and Bush (41) was Reagan's opponent in 1980.

"Unfortunately, this is a good strategic move for Kerry. But how anyone cannot see Edwards as an empty suit is beyond me."

I see this as the stuffed shirt and the empty suit ticket.

This is better than the Britney-Madonna kiss. I think I hit 1000 posts.

I think this is kind of a queer eye for the straight guy moment.
