Well at least he's pro-life, last time I checked. McCain isn't loony, he just gets too emotional at times and makes some statements that sound too liberal for a Republican. Heck, if everything you and I said was reported in the media, we'd appear to be loony too. (At least I would.) It's tough living constantly in the media spotlight. Many years ago....I was giving McCain mulligans, and the benefit of the doubt. I quit doing it. It appears he's irresponsible..and likes to hear his name spoken.
These people in politics choose their profession. If they can't take the spotlight..then don't go running to every sound mike, and camera light at the drop of a hat..!
No more McLame excuses.....
On the lighter side...Maybe you and I are loons...lol, but I don't want the elected to be nuttier than I.

...It probably was Gephardt, before it was Edwards. ...
Presumptive nominee Kerry started by saying that all the possiblities were wonderful but he could only pick one.
When was he only allowed to pick one thing?

I remember reading about a cases he made a big fortune on using "junk science". Found the article below:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1067441/posts
Edwards Dodges 'Junk Science' Allegations
Manchester, N.H. (CNSNews.com) - Sen. John Edwards, the North Carolina Democrat who finished fourth in Tuesday's presidential primary in New Hampshire, refused to answer allegations that he had used "junk science" in part to win hugely lucrative legal judgments or settlements against the medical profession.
The outcome of those cases, many of them dealing with the debatable cause of cerebral palsy in infants, made Edwards a rich man, allowing him to self-finance a 1998 run for the U.S. Senate from North Carolina and position himself as a presidential candidate in 2004.

In a close contest the base can carry the day. And there is some good evidence that the RNC has actually set in train a real ground campaign built precinct by precinct from the bottom up with every precinct shepherded by a captain and real effort going into registration and gt out the vote for 72 hours before the election.
A very real danger is that the gap will grow beyond the capacity of an energized base to close it. If the numbers do not soon begin to match the unfavorables and Bush does not go underwater, then I am wrong and a blessing it would be.

which "Wall Street"? The side dominated by "big business", or the one dominated by "institutional traders", or both? Probably both -- either type hates the type of frivolous lawsuits that Edwards built his career on.
