Be prepared for Bush to counter with Giuliani or McCain as his running mate. Probably McCain because he's viewed as strong on defense but also diplomatic. Go W Go!! Edwards will not help Kerry much in the South because he's not the presidential candidate!

Can you say Chief Justice Hillary Clinton? (without choking) No. The scary thing is it will be yet another ashtray battle in that house; S(l)ick Willie also wants that honor, and his temp disbarrment just so happens to end in 2005.

From what I heard, he misses his family, his health, and wants to go back into the private sector.

Not Hillary - so much for Dick Morris. (Again)I doubt she was ever really considered.
Edwards was the v.p. choice I was most worried about. He's going to give a boost to Kerry.

At least Kerry will have someone to tighten that bolt in his neck for him every morning. A job beneath Terry Kerry.

The way she wiggles and squirms around as she is praising John-boy and John-girl makes her look like a cheap whore.Yup, and it was Estrich who spoke openly about John Kerry's "women problems" on FoxNews, back in the days when everybody just knew that Dean was going to be the candidate.
Oh how fickle we can be.....

I honestly think Dim internal polling was suggesting that Bush had weathered the storms of this spring that the media had created full-bore against him and that he might sink too far if he waited. Anyone have info to support this hypothesis out there (I know folks who know are here reading this) Dales?

He went with the safe choice.....hmmmmm. That's the way I look at it. And it may well turn out not to be safe at all. Edwards is the person others wanted him to pick. Kerry personally liked and felt more comfortable with Gephardt.

Dickie Morris just dissed both Johns saying this is a losing pick...he also says the GOP will be pulling out all the Trial Lawyer donations to Little Johnny Edwards....

As if you know what you're talking about.
You've been saying for months it was definitely going to be Gephardt.

Haven't read to the end of the thread yet, but the prior example was John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. They were opponents in the primary of 1960. (I remember that convention...I was watching it on TV. HA!)
To: ShandaLear
Kerry picked the safe, conventional choice dictated by Terry McAwful and the polls (or Dem pols). It gives some insight into Kerry's ability to make decisions and how secure he really is about his own persona. Cheney will make mincemeat out of Edwards.
