But hey, I know some people have this need to try and control what other people can and cannot say Nope.
Me and a few others, found the mention of the slimeballs, who were by protocol, included at the funeral, as, unfortunate and a distraction from the focus on the topic of the post.
We can bash the slimeballs, 24/7 all over this board.
We only bury this great man once.
But, you will have it your way and say you want, when you want.
Make me sad.

Trace Gallagher says this evening service will 'be very emotional.' Several Hollywood figures, such as Bo Dereck and Tom Selleck will be there.

Thank you.

I was thinking about these media who feel they must engage in idle gossip to fill the airtime. Comments about the Reagan family dynamics, and the Bush/Reagan family relationship and I figure they would defend it as simply describing "how it was" (which I still think they're full of).
It got me to wondering when one of the Clintons dies, will the media feel the need to remind us that he was serially and compulsively unfaithful? Not bloody likely.

Am watching the replay on C-SPAN to catch what I missed the first time! What a great feeling to see all of the military members that are participating!

Clinton is going around introducing Kerry to former world leaders -- what a lowlife -- now he will probably say that Mulroney endorses him.
What happened to Kerry not being able to make the service so he went to the Reagan Library?

Not as a pallbearer. The Coast Guard Band was the band playing outside.

Will have to pay a visit to the Reagon Library soon to honor the first President I was able to vote for. Ron was a good man and a great leader provided by God when the country was in need. After the Clinton years more people must have been praying because we have another decent chrisitan man as President.

I was at the procession this morning about one block south of Wisconsin Avenue. I got there around 10:30am and sat on the sidewalk making my sign, a red one with "God Bless You President Reagan" in black marker which was tough because it had started to rain a bit. As I sat there one of the protesters walked by and said "Now there's a terrorist".
I found my place on Mass Ave and the protesters had started to come down the streets with their horrible signs that read "Thank God for 9/11" and "Reagan's legacy" with a bunch of tombstones on them. I held up my sign and as my blood was beginning to boil I decided to just stand there with my sign and American flags. I had a family with a few small children next to me to whom I gave my extra flags. I didn't want to start anything in front of them and turn this event into something it wasn't.
The procession came by quite quickly. Nancy had her head down and was not looking outside. It was very sad. I didn't take any pictures although I had my camera. I just wanted to stand there with my sign and flags.
I walked up to the corner of Wisconsin and the protesters were just awful. A lot of people were screaming and yelling at them. I was interviewed by CNN and they were trying to get in the background. It was sick.

I just saw former SoS Albright. Seems what I missed the first time around, I would have been happier not to see the 2nd time.
Keep that picture handy! Now he can say he has met some world leaders!

Like this was a place to stand and laugh - I don't see Gorby laughing and joking. Geez.
