FYI the Maj. General (2-Star) that has been the escort for nancy this week is the Commanding General of the Military District of Washington.

I understand that there will be a big Hollywood presence tonight at the internment....however, Warner Bros. is very different than when RR worked there. You look at the old photos they have on the walls, or at the Smoke House, and compare it to now....and it was better back then!

But, it is reasonable to express such feelings on FR. Where, more fitting? More importantly, we may need to energize efforts to prevent some coup of Shrillery's before the election.

I think he may have put it there to reinforce the negative image of the rats and their insensitivity to the passing of President Reagan. Matt's on OUR side. I hope.
Since we're discussing MSNBC, I haven't read all of the comments on this thread as I had bowed out for a bit, but in case it hasn't been noted:
I discern the way is to lavish "praise" and insert little jabs here and there--that goes on across all of the channels.
Today Andrea Mitchell praised George H. W. Bush's comments, then had to add that in "reality" (ahem) the elder Bushes were not close to the Reagans. She asserted that Barbara had resented Nancy and then Andrea said the Reagans had never hosted the Bushes in the private family WH quarters. That is why, Andrea marveled, the emotion displayed by the elder President Bush was such a surprise.
I admit I am drawn back to MSNBC from time to time out of dread fascination to hear what they'll come up with next. I'm on Fox right now as the plan taxis, ready to take off.

You're right, there isn't anything snide to be said about her, so that ought to tell you alot about Ann Gerhart. The premise was "the perfect wife" and was somewhat condescending of Laura's abilities and contributions, she picked on the twins, also.
