I'm back in this thread reading comments but am glad I checked my own page to see your remark.

I think it is Georgie Ann Geyer and I listened to just a bit and said to myself "I don't need this" and moved to Fox and CSPAN if even Fox gets too much.

Needless to say, I agree with your sentiments. Chris Matthews' running train of thought that proceeds out of his mouth is so silly and shallow and more often than not wrong. The only thing he has been right about is Nancy realizing that America loved her husband and admire and respect her.

I hope Nancy doesn't have to climb those steps again. Oh, I see she will.

It is amazing - the power that Clinton and the dims exercise here. Even at a solemn event such as this.

We just cannot get over it for even a day on one thread.

The some of us who want to put Clinton behind us can't because the rest won't let us.

I hope they go further than that. Release the funeral service on dvd, unedited, start to finish. No talking heads, no on-screen graphics, no phone calls (I read here that C-SPAN was taking calls during the service). Just let the pictures and natural sound run. Being cubicle-bound, I made the mistake of rocording this on C-SPAN. NEVER AGAIN! President Ronald Wilson Reagan, may you rest in peace.

I believe that only invited guests will be allowed on the grounds. They always planned on having a video feed.

Me too. I never thought I'd cry this much for President Reagan. What a dear man he was. Nancy waving goodbye, crowd applauding. God bless her.

Quix, I haven't followed the thread since the service ended, but heard the interview on Fox where the lady author stated that Nancy "respected" her husband's faith, but did not share it.

My heart breaks to think of them being separated for eternity after so many close years here on earth.

I take heart, though, because I have a friend whose father was saved 3 weeks before he died last November. At his funeral, the Gospel was preached throughout.

Her Mom was saved the next day, saying that she didn't want to be where her husband is isn't. She was baptized on Easter!

We can pray the same for Nancy.

Bless her, she just made it up the stairs of the plane, turned around and waved goodbye without her Ronnie. My heart is breaking.

No one is present at the actual lowering of the body into the grave, anyway.
