So when Clinton goes it will be the Carcass LOL - From tears to laughter, then it's gonna be back to tears again. This has been the most emotional week I can remember in a long time, and I never even had the honor of meeting this great man, but feel that he was my second Dad.

What does the 21 represent in the 21 gun salute? Always wondered.
To: Terriergal
yeppers.
One honor bearer I noticed from the army was a SGTMJR, along with an E-2 from the Marine Corps.
Command line for the family is lots of ribbons on the officers.

Ah... I assume they're not really shooting any projectile? (unless they're aimed at the ocean?)
I thought howitzers were bigger?

And she's got to be comforted seeing those men, those fine young men, carry President Reagan's body. Those STRONG young men.
That's a 700 pound solid mahogany casket, likely with a glass seal.
Heavy.

You are so right!
God Bless our Military -- been around the Air Force for over 30 years and wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
These ceremonial guard units in D.C. always have given me the chills as they take part in these type ceremonies.

I have a question, anyone here know why there wasnt this much of an event for Nixon? I read a news article that stated the last state funeral for a president was Johnson in 1973. Just wondering, semms like all the presidents would have the same procession. Not comparing Nixon to Regan, just wondering..

Sorry to hear about the depression.
My dad was a Lutheran minister.
I can't find it - where are they lining up for the entrance to the rotunda for public viewing? The South side of the mall, or the north side of the mall? It amkes a difference which Metro stop I get off at.
Anyone know?
To: Howlin
The entourage will travel no faster than 20mph to the Capitol Building.
