Fact Sheet on Dirty Bombs

I'd imagine that if AQ wanted to pull off a mall shooting with AK's and grenades, they just have to realize that some cops or even armed citizens might be present. They'd want to accomplish max damage before somebody wised up and went for the cranio-ocular shot to turn out the lights. So, the classic "Failure to Stop" drill. Two fast ones to the body and then assess the damage if any. If target is still a threat immediately segue into a head shot and fire for effect. Rest in Pieces, Mohammed.

Oh Gawd what an idiot!

Asked how he would handle a terrorist threat, Democratic Senator John Kerry, Bush's electoral rival, told reporters during a campaign stop in Washington state that if he were in charge "the terrorists will never shut down the
democracy or the ability to function of this country, never."

It came off the EOM_and_Daleel message board which is a Yahoo Group that formed a few months ago. You can join up I believe, although the group has been virtually dead until the last few days.
I thought of the mall thing. Thanks for your clear, concise and informative post. :)

At a private, round-the-table discussion in London, the travel chiefs joined representatives from business, health, insurance and the media in giving opinions. Mr Straw first announced a new look for Foreign Office (FO) travel advice in a statement to parliament at the beginning of last month.
Presenting a review to parliament, Mr Straw said that the Foreign Office would only advise Britons not to travel to a certain country when intelligence indicated that there was extreme and imminent danger from terrorists.

27 May 2004 - Assassination Attempt on Iraqi Governing Council Member Salama Al Khafaji Today
At least one Arabic language jihad forum is celebrating an assassination attempt in Salama Al Khafaji,
a member of the Iraqi Governing Council, and one of the few women at that level of government in the
middle east.
The report, found on the Reform forum, claims that her vehicle was ambushed in the
Al Yusifiya area of Iraq, and claims that three members of her security crew were killed in the attack.
The post claims that her son has been kidnapped by militants.
According to the posting, made by a long time poster named Awri, Al Kahafaja may have escaped serious injury.
Assassinations and kidnappings are among the events that have been promised and outlined by Al Qaeda in their bi-weekly training manual, Al Battar. This ssassination attempt follows closely on the heels of the assassination of Iraqi Governing Council head Ezzedin Salim last week, and the attempted assassination of another IGC member late last week.

If you'd be so kind as to save me some of that blood...EOM claims to be one of the 7 profiled yesterday and that he's on his way to DC. I'm keeping pics of them in my car. If I see them I'll contact the authorities. If they present a threat to me or those around me I'll try to take them out myself if I can do so without getting others hurt.
To quote another freeper: Time to start stuffing bacon grease in the hollow points.
It's good to know that people are observing and reporting suspicious things out there!
Osama bin Laden's group now sees the United States as its prime target in a death struggle between civilizations, the report says, and has more than 18,000 potential terrorists scattered around the world.
The lack of specific information about the threat and the inability of ordinary people to deal with it effectively is bound to be frustrating. But the alternative - blissful ignorance - is far worse. People are better off with a more complete picture of the threats they face and of the world as it is, not as they wish it to be.

Howdy ExSoldier, glad you stopped by! Welcome!
I don't believe it was an accident.
Not a very talkative spokesperson, eh?
>> blissful ignorance <<
...will get you killed.
Thanks for the link. I agree that DC and NYC remain targets as well as either Houston or Dallas. It is said though that Chicago also remains as an "unfinished business" city. Have you heard that as well?
Thanks for the link. I just googled for both the husband and wife and came up with no info. Hmmmm.
I think I just figured out how to protect all of us from jihadis.
Pot-bellied pigs.
Remember those creatures? They were fad pets a few years ago.
We all need to get Pot Bellied Pigs! Give them to the cops to take on patrol! Put one on every airplane! Personal protection pets!
Raid on Philadelphia mosque.
We have stepped it up, big time! Finally.
