As an American [applied for citizenship here from Iran since 1999], and a Muslim i would like to strongly condemn the brutal beheading of a fellow American in the hands of Barbarians.
I also, condemn Islamic terrorism across the world and join millions of others in Iran and i'm sure other places across the middle east in condemning these horrible acts.
I moved here in 2000, i was a part of the student uprisings in 1999 in Iran. The very thing that the US is fighting right now in the middle east, are what students in Iran are fighting.
There is no difference between their fight and ours, nor the fight across the middle east between the modernized - moderate form of islam and the radical form.
Unfortunately, moderates have been unwilling to take arms or act aggressively against radical islam and when we have we've been condemned for human rights abuses.
That's all.. after reading some of the posts on here i just wanted to say i'm Muslim and i condemn these acts.

I think I do understand. I've been worried that when 'normal' muslims hear us talking about nuking Fallujah for example, it would be really scary to think that Americans could decide that the only good muslim was a dead muslim. Further, I believe that the reason more muslims have not spoken out against the terror, or helped us more openly in Iraq is because you have just as much to fear, possibly more, from these devils than we do. Even in Saudi, when people say they are not our friends, I reply that some Saudis are, some are not.
Therefore I accept your statement of friendship, and wish you God's peace.

Do you advocate a Muslim Iran or secular Iran (pre '79) I don't think anyone wants a pre '79 Iran. The Shah was a nasty character.

Whether it's the American authorities or the resistance, or both, that's all anyone can ask. Keep safe!

Might be too late, Cyrus. I, for one, fought back my growing hatred, not wanting to tar all by the actions of some, but I've had it. I'm not a particularly religious fellow, yet I'm familiar with the prophecies and am not afraid because my guess is that the Lord walks amoungst us now. I also feel that islam is the vehicle of satan, here to combat the Lord. I think satan's vehicle needs to be disabled and destroyed. My hate is focusing on islam, and thats the way it is. You'd best go tell you pals to start pretending at civilization a little better, pretending to be outraged a little louder and to get for the Lord's sake get the hell off hell's vehicle.

Thank you.
Let there be no mistake, we are fighting pure evil. What other name is there? We cannot call them animals because even animals do not hate and destroy like these vile creatures. These evil men who murder, mutilate and destroy, whos acts rip and claw at the very core of the human soul. These men cannot be placated and they cannot be contained.
This is not a Muslim thing, millions of Muslims live life without a thought of mass murder. This is a culture of death, a sub-set of a faith fouled by death and hate and destruction. Take no heart in numbers though, they few hundreds of thousands, maybe millions have been tearing at all that is good for centuries, whatever their current incarnation.
They send their children out as bombs, they mutilate their women, they murder innocents and they seek to destroy humanity as we know it. They do not simply hate the US, they hate anybody not like them, and it is only that the US is a convenient target, a target that presents itself in an effort to make a better world.
You likely did not see the slow beheading of Dan Pearl or Nick Berg. The images of the mutilated, burned and abused bodies of Americans hung from that bridge were not shown on the evening news. The pictures of those in the burning towers of 9/11, jumping to their death to escape certain death by fire are seldom viewed. The terrible video of US soldiers being drug through the streets of Mogadishu are gut wrenching, but few bore witness.
But these are the deeds, the real evil face of our enemy. These are the terrorist, a word that cannot describe their black souls. An enemy found in Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain, Russia and even in the United States of America. We cannot turn our eyes from the pain or cover our ears to the screams; we must face with all our courage this common enemy to humankind.
Afghanistan and Iraq are just the beginning and Americans and citizens of the world must steel their resolve. If we dont get them first, they will get us.

Thank you. I hold out great hope that the people of Iran may be free of their current govt. I've seen picture that reflect how Westernized many in the country are. I thank you for coming forward. Blessings.

Thank you.
Coming right on the heels of Hizbollah "slamming" Berg's murder as un-Islamic because it overshadows the Iraq prison photos and therefore must be an American plot, you have no idea how uplifting your sincere condemnation is.
Unfortunately, you'll never get any time on the mass media.

· In the Bible (e.g., Ezra 1:1-4), Cyrus is famous for freeing the Jewish captives in Babylonia and allowing them to return to their homeland. His name occurs twenty two times in the Bible.
It has also not escaped my attention that the Iranians have always had an especial relationship with the Jewish People. My understanding is that this stems from the similarities of Judaism and Zoroastrianism.

Whenever I think of Iranian-Americans, Matt Ghaffari comes to mind. He won a Silver medal in the 1996 Olympics in wrestling, losing in overtime to legend Alexander Karelin
