To: Cyrus the Great
· In the Bible (e.g., Ezra 1:1-4), Cyrus is famous for freeing the Jewish captives in Babylonia and allowing them to return to their homeland. His name occurs twenty two times in the Bible.

It has also not escaped my attention that the Iranians have always had an especial relationship with the Jewish People. My understanding is that this stems from the similarities of Judaism and Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism has provided many ideas found in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

Angels, one Supreme Being, a religion based on ethical values, a last judgement, a resurrection of the dead, the earth as the site of a struggle between the forces of good and evil, and the cocept of a saviour can all be found in Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is the world's first montheistic religion.
