Janet Reno took "full responsibility" for Waco, but no one called for her resignation.

If you were charged with defending the nation, and knew there were traitors on the committees, and had troops to protect, a war to win, terrorists to locate and remove - before any plots far worse than 9-11 could be carried out - would you share delicate information that
would surely be used against our military by some in the Senate, and any twisted spin believed by most of the Senate - whose members continue to ignore the military briefings, and the troops - and to buy the mainstream lies re. the war, as they have from the beginning?
Most of these guys are looking through a redwood forests' worth of hypocrisy to point out the 'mote' in the military's eye.

If Rumsfeld performs well, he might pull an "Ollie North" and carry the day.
Let it be so. God, please speak through him and give him boldness to speak the truth boldly.

To: Howlin
I agree he was not right in his anger yesterday, but at the end he said he wondered if this apology would be enough. That is the part I was talking about.

Exactly right RC. If Rummy had taken this to Congress, it would have been leaked within 5 minutes.

This is all bulls**t. There's nothing to apologize for. The prisoners there were sub-human scum and got what they deserved.
My main objection in the first place was that it appeared to be random sadism- if it was for interrogatory purposes the soldiers in question did nothing wrong, neither did anyone else.
To me, from the quotes I've hard, this sounds like a culuturally astute method.

The prisoners are NOT human beings. We saw the Iraqi's gleeful faces when the American contractors were burned and hung on the bridge.
Never forget!
