When you think about it, it totally makes sense : Air America the liberal radio network, will not be broadcasting in the DC metro area.. DC went 70 percent for Gore! They don't need convincing.

We suspect that Air America will blow. Then again, it could suck.

Or perhaps it will achieve some mysterious simultaneous combination of the two. And while we are normally unopposed to mocking things that we have no direct knowledge of, this material seems rich.

Its not just bad, its BORING. You would think a "comedian" like Franken would at least go for yucks. Its just horrible. And that Lanpher chick, yikes. She said the election was going to turn on Condi testifying. Egads.

Pretty boring so far. Lots of bits. Bob Elliot (of Bob and Ray) was kind of funny. Ben Stein checked in. I don't think there is enough meat here to hold people's interest.

I was just over there, and you're right. I guess I underestimated how relieved the libs would be to finally have Al on the air. Apparently, they're happy to gratefully gobble up whatever crap he shovels their way.

I think the question is: are we missing something here?

Are we being unfairly harsh because we don't like the substance? I'm trying hard to be objective and really I find it lacks spontaneity and charm. But it's so darn hard to be even-handed. Anyone out there who thinks it's good? I swear I won't flame anyone who finds it has merit (for form, not substance).

In my objective opinion, it sounds like cardboard radio. I was more spontaneous at age 16 when I first got in radio. Hell, even my show flowed better than this with hardly any dead air.
