OK, I LOVE Christopher Guest's other Mockumentaries (Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman) but found Mighty Wind to be subpar. Good to see Eugene Levy and Katherine O'Hara in anything however.

It's better than those terrier songs in "Best in Show"!! (although those were rather cute...)

Commercial release date in Los Angeles is what determines whether a film is eligible.

I see Peter and Mary singing this dull LOTR tune, where's Paul? They are funny, though, I give them props for that.

Anna, its from a movie that is all satire, its a lampoon of 60's folk, I'm amazed it go nominated, its a great inside joke! Mighty Wind was great.

Men who enjoy LOTR squat when they urinate.

Men who don't enjoy LOTR lie on their backs when they urinate

Is this an official pissing contest? ;-)

I honestly don't think Mel cares if the Academy acknowledges his film or not.

Amen. A true artist has more concern for his work and then his audience. Any artist who cares about what his peers think is not an artist.
